Connacht Championship 2019

Replying To BeJasus:  "More pressure on Galway for this one.
Even if they win many observers outside the county will still gauge their season at the business end of the championship rather than a connaht title.
This year the need to show that they have the quality to go toe to toe with the dubs.
A few connacht titles and another limp finish will not be enough for Walsh this year whose style is not easy on the eye."
Dublin are nailed on for the 5, no pressure on Galway at all a mhac, enjoy the Connacht Final. Rossies picked by O Se to win it, but expect Galway to have a say.

Replying To AVoiceforJohn:  "Hi everyone,

I would just like to inform everyone that there will be a bucket collection outside Pearse Stadium on Sunday before the match aid of A voice for John and the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association (IMNDA). Any donations will be greatly appreciated and all money raised will go to IMNDA.

For more information on our campaign, please see A Voice for John Facebook page."
Best of luck with it, no doubt ye will get plenty of support

Galway and Donegal are the only two teams which can give a game to dublin this year but i think next year is Galways year

Or possibly suggesting that their appearance in the final might liven up a Connacht and Ulster final? Other than maybe not knowing his stuff he talks about a problem but seems not to have any suggestions how to improve it. He's a very smart guy so he might make a few suggestions.

He failed to mention the only problem in leinster is dublin who have been giving huge advantages over its leinster competitors."
Well thankfully you're filling that gap by mentioning it at every opportunity.
That's also far from Leinster's only problem. Leaving Dublin aside, none of the other Leinster teams have made any impact in the All Ireland championship for quite some time. Meath have only just come out of Divison 2 for the first time in around a decade. Kildare have bounced up and down and have mixed the decent with the awful at times. There's no reason why those two counties in particular shouldn't be as competitive as Mayo, Donegal, Tyrone and Galway over the last 5 years. Meath are certainly making progress and it'll be interesting to see how they develop. Kildare have potential but are struggling so far this year."]Kildare knocked out Mayo last year that made some impact. Take away mayo and what connacht teams have done better then leinster teams? galway got to 1 all ireland semi otherwise we are no better

Replying To endgame:  "Cavan have declined since the 1960s and next week will indeed be their first appearance in an Ulster Final in 18 years and great to see them there. No pundit Alan Brogan or anybody should forget that Cavan were once the superpower of Ulster football and have 4 times as many Senior Ulster Football titles as their opponents next week."
They still have the superpower of supporters, extremely passionate, very knowledgeable who support The Breffni through thick and thin.

Yea every county has a hardcore of supporters. But I've been to Cavan games even in breffni Park where we had as many supporters as them. Even the first game against Armagh the Armagh supporters outnumbered them. So I don't buy into this crack of Cavan having brilliant fans. Like my own county if we're going well we could take about 40 thousand to crime park and Cavan fans will follow them now because there in there first ulster final in 18 years.

Should be a good game today. Hopefully the weather doesnt ruin it.
Galway not going well yet, Roscommon won a good game against Mayo but Galway still probably favourites today.
Very hard to know who will win, it comes down to defences, both teams have good attacks but whose defence can keep the scores down.
Mayo got through the Roscommon defence a good few times and Galway with more pace than Mayo should be able to do the same.
Galways man markers have declined a bit, Kerin and Sean Andy so Roscommon could have joy in there.
Very hard to know..
Ill go with a draw 2-12 each..

No chance of that kinda score! The rain is pouring down here in Salthill now I'm afraid, going to be a real scrappy game

Roscommon need to keep the ball moving and keep the pitch as wide as possible.
A scrap in the middle will suit Galway more.

Why was Ian Burke booked? It was a fair shoulder but if it was late it's an automatic black card, no?

Roscommon loosing it sticking to the long kick out strategy, weather is making for a scrappy game, loads of bodies back but doing very little actual defending after getting bodies back.
