Don't speak to Michael Donnellan like that.

I have one. OK?
I have a lot of time for Mayo football but come on now face facts, no Sam since 51? How many finals without a win? Ate least 11?

Well yerra now. That is BS in the current climate. Whatever ticks your box though.

I don't know why you're entertaining this motley crew, Yew Tree. Connacht titles didn't count as a trophy while we were winning them, then they magically started to count again when Galway starting winning it again. Same craic from them running down our league win this year, club titles, underage All-Irelands, yadda yadda.

Come to think of it, the amount of Galway posters on these boards trolling has multiplied several fold recently. The same crowd that flopped badly against the likes of Roscommon, Tipp, Monaghan and the Dubs in recent championship seasons holding court on choking, who'd a thunk it?

Back to football, Mayo are favourites at the weekend IMO but need to be tuned in from the beginning, as the Rossies have the forward talent to do some damage otherwise. We'll miss SOS and Cilian given the Rossies' counter-attacking style too I reckon. Would go for a narrow Mayo win (1-4 points) on this basis.

Mayo so confident they're only lining out with 14 men.

You have a senior all Ireland? Fait play to you if that's true but you ain't acting with grace like one of two former Galway greats I know.

From 1 -9 a very impressive team, from 10-15 its very average.

I think it might be more accurate to suggest that out of those 6 forwards (who mightn't be selected) 3 are unproven at this level: Regan (due to injuries), Coen and Boland (inexperienced), while the other three are first choices. There's enough talent amongst those 6 to do the various jobs required, including putting up a winning score. There likely will be many pundits and posters who'll argue that Roscommon are going to have a recognisably better set of scoring forwards than Mayo on Sunday, but the Rossie 6 won't need to be better than the Mayo forwards... it's the Mayo backs they'll have to be better than.

The six starting forwards for Mayo wouldn't be setting off any alarm bells, one thing Horan has done in a very short space of time is decreased the age profile rapidly, by dropping the likes of Moran, Clarke, Boyle, Vaughan, O Shea, Cafferky. It's a strong possibility one or two of these may have already played their final game in a Mayo shirt.
