2019 Division 1 League Final.

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Kerry V Mayo should make for a very good game weather permitting.
Kerry have been the most consistent team in division 1 with 6 wins from 7.
Mayo having started really well with 2 wins had a bad blip against Dublin and Galway but bounced back beating Kerry and Monaghan.
Kerry have exceeded expectations given the young players making their first starts and a new manager finding his way.
Two things i hope for 1, A dry day and 2, we dont wear those awful away jerserys.

I think you have to wear the Black and Tan outfit, not appropriate for HQ though. Best to Mayo in the Final.

Very proud of the Mayo support Wayno, but I wonder if we're not being exploited a bit? More Mayo supporters will go to NY in May than Kerry supporters will show up next Sunday. Why's that... and who's gaining?

Worst jersey I've ever seen.

Kerry have had some of the biggest crowds this spring. Think there was 12 or 14 thousand at their first league game and Tralee was sold out against Dublin and Mayo. Apparently there was as many Kerry supporters as Roscommon in the Hyde yesterday.

The Kerry support has definitely improved a lot the last while.

The one Galvin is designing would give it a run for its money!

Mayo blue jersey, on the other hand, is a thing of beauty!

Lets not pretend that this was anything other than the fact that they were playing Dublin

The old blue Kerry away jerseys were far nicer.

Great final to look forward to next weekend , CP on a nice day with a big crowd is a lot different to horrible night in a tight ground like Tralee so will find out a lot more where both teams are at can't wait.

The worst thing now is the fact that Donegal and Meath have been promoted we'll have to wear that scoury yolk for 3 games next year :-(
Paul Galvin should be brought before The Hague for crimes against fashion.

Surely the fact that we topped the league table should mean that we get to wear our green and gold.

I did and it looks like something I'd have worn as an U14 back in 1988.

I keep hearing on podcasts and radio shows that both managers will be delighted with how the league went and that their in a final , yeah but if one of them takes a hammering in the final the whole season can go down hill. Remember Mayo in '10 had a great league then got hammered by Cork in the final the season really ended that day the team lost all confidence.

You think either of these teams could get a hammering? Mayo of 2010 has no relevance to this team and Kerry are building with a team of serious young forwards, nobody is going to take a hammering here.

Worry about yourselves Clondalkin, this Kerry team will perform on Sunday I've no doubt about it. Whether that is enough to win time will tell, but this side has serious bottle and as the League has shown, they fight to the end. A great trait that Keane has already instilled in them!
