disappointing performance by us yesterday,we have typically hurled well in the 2nd half but never came out yesterday.
i thought the referee gave galway some incredible frees in the 1st half though, even a galway punter supping in the bar said what was that for time and again.
well done dublin,i said since the draw was made our fate could be sealed in the leinster championship before kk ever roll into wexford park.but well done to the dubs none the less.

This season was always going to be less exciting with the new format format for next year and the current cship structure.
From a Tipp perspective we have continued a poor run of results since 2017.
2 wins in 11 league and cship games and 0 wins in 6 cship games doesnt bode well for the cship.
Injuries will clear up but unfortuntely we havent seen too much promising things in the league. The chance was missed to introduce more U21's such as Ger Browne and one or two more. Sheedy has made a mistake of staying loyal to his 2010 players and has now missed the chance of 2010 similar to what Micheal Donoughue did in his first year with galway.

No there was not 2 sweepers. Condon was free because Dublin were playing an extra man back. I'm sure you probably realised that though and were only looking for a rise

Dublin used a sweeper, limerick kept 6 forwards. Condon was the extra man freed by Dublin dropping a man back.

Replying To LarryOBrother:  "I'd be very worried if I was from KK.
I know the Ballyhale boys are due back but they looked like a shell of a team on Sunday with no leaders.
Cilian Buckley is massive, if he's gone so are KK.
And for those that will say that TJ will pull them out of the fire I really wouldn't be so sure. Here's a stat for you - Lee chin, Rory o connor, Conor Macdonald Jack o Connor and Paul Morris all averaged more from play last year than TJ. And that's not even including Wexford match against Westmeath just to be fair."

Here's a stat for you - TJ Reid has more AlI Senior Hurling medals than the whole of the Wexford panel.

Limerick did what they always do which is drop their half forwards deep when defending and get up when attacking.

Congrats to Limerick and Waterford. The Canning injury was a huge blow to Galway. He was fouled 5 times on that play and I counted at least 3 yellow card swipes hitting him before the fair shoulder that took him out. Poor reffing considering that the supporting officials love to get a say these days.

Any other relevant argument please?
My point is that if 4 Wexford hurlers have a higher scoring average than TJ I would guess that there is at least 20 more. That's surely worrying!
I forgot how sacred TJ is to Kilkenny fans!!

past glories wont win medals Cockney,I hope that T J recaptures his old form, then we will have a chance of winning a few games,I think though that we saw 2 of the last four in action yesterday,at the moment I dont think we are in the top 4 but I hope I am wrong

Maybe it's my blinkered vision but I feel that kk have only been competitive the last couple of years by playing for frees.
Is there a hurling stat nerd out there that can support this viewpoint or shoot me down in flames?

I don't know what Joe Canning has to do to get a free. The last time he was badly injured in an AISF (lost by a point against Tipp) he was pushed in the back and landed awkwardly, there was no free given. It's as if some referees believe he should take any punishment he gets. The refereeing was poor again yesterday in both games.

Great teams win all irelands not individuals I'm not saying Reid isn't he's top draw but his 1st few years in the kk panel was with the best ever hurling team

Patrick Horgan doesn't have a Celtic cross but that doesn't mean he's has been excellent for cork for over a decade

Fair enough comment. I will do some research and see if I can get some stats. As I said previously, I could very well be wrong......and would have no issue saying as much

you weren't complaining about refereeing when he wasnt sent off like he should have been against wexford for pulling on damien reck off the ball.
that aside,i do wish one of the finest hurlers of this generation a speedy recovery.

well why then, particularly in the first 20 minutes, was there an extra man in the limerick full back line?
the reality is,like it or not, every team plays some form of defensive structure these days.nobody is wrong to do it,but i do think the criticism which some counties get for it is ill-informed and poorly considered.
