Huge one for both teams. Loser is more or less relegated in my opinion. westcavankid (Cavan) - Posts: 83 - 05/03/2019 09:54:09 2170332 Link 0 |
Having seen both teams lately I'd say Monaghan to win by 2/3 points.

Also seen both teams lately. Monaghan were very poor against us but they were much improved against a decent Kerry team. I'd be very confident the Farney will prevail here with plenty to spare. OGarmaile (Tyrone) - Posts: 248 - 05/03/2019 11:25:03 2170352 Link 1 |
Cavan hot favourites here the coming team. We are on the way down hopefully we can give them a good game of it. seanie08 (Monaghan) - Posts: 1790 - 05/03/2019 12:23:15 2170370 Link 0 |

May 18th is the Cavan game that counts. Roscommon will be playing a Kerry team already in league final the following week. Highly unlikely either Mon or Cavan will be playing Div 1 next season. Mon79 (Monaghan) - Posts: 81 - 05/03/2019 12:51:00 2170378 Link 0 |
Cant see past Monaghan in this one, mind you they've slipped up a lot since beating us so I won't write Cavan off completely. realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8571 - 05/03/2019 15:34:23 2170416 Link 3 |
Ah tongue firmly in cheek by myself. Will be a properly contested derby with hardly a kick of a ball in it. Even if we were flying which we ain't still be v tight.

I know well you were :) it probably will be as tight as a ducks backside, this match could go anyway and both counties will be hoping for rossies to lose also.

Monaghan to win with a few points to spare. Roscommon and Galway to draw. border Gael (Monaghan) - Posts: 893 - 05/03/2019 22:15:51 2170506 Link 0 |
'I have a feeling Dublin will drop points this year, at least early in the league. MadgeKing (Cavan) - Posts: 490 - 06/03/2019 16:16:19 2170666 Link 0 |
Madge King the mystic! Glad to hear that the Cavan support will travel to Clones, as I understand that there was only a handful of blue in Healy Park, which I am sure must have been tough for the tram, considering they had a good win the previous week - might go in some way to explain why it is hard to attract & retain players to the panel. Fickle support & all that. Anyway a warm welcome awaits you all in Clones , as always. greysoil (Monaghan) - Posts: 965 - 06/03/2019 20:05:59 2170722 Link 0 |
I think the Monaghan v Cavan game will go the same way as most the important games between the sides recently. Cavan will try really hard but their lack of scoring will prove their undoing. FootblockREF (Monaghan) - Posts: 562 - 09/03/2019 20:16:01 2171297 Link 0 |
The last 3 big games mc manus has been the difference when game was in the balance. Geroid mc Kiernan always went missing, mackey runs out of steam and Mc veety doesn't seem to step up when needed.

Gearoid was good last time we met in the league. And if you remember, he was fouled right in front of the posts in the last minute with the game level but no free was given.

Monaghan to win this for me. I think the defeat by Tyrone has resigned Cavan to Div 2. The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2087 - 12/03/2019 15:12:27 2171879 Link 1 |

Excuse for what? 1. It ended in a draw 2. I wasn't arguing the result, I was talking about 1 player's performance cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 4981 - 13/03/2019 12:23:16 2172026 Link 1 |
