Mayo will be desperate to put down a marker after failing to beat Galway in a while. This is going to be tough and physical, hopefully Shane Walsh is available.

I think Mayo might win this one.

should be another cliff hanger, hard to call. This could easily be the last meeting of the sides in 2019 so come on Galway stop messing about with the crazy recycling, we are better than this.

Hope Mayo win this with a bit to spare. At least they go out and try to play good football. For the last few years, Galway have been playing the most horrible brand of football and are dreadful to watch. They are a team that is "over-coached" and afraid to attack for fear of losing the ball. They will never win anything playing this kind of football as Dublin showed them earlier this year.

I would expect Galway to get to Connacht final and Mayo will be favorites against Rossies, although we will see as the year develops.

Will be some hard hitting I expect. Even if it wasn't Galway, Horans comments about Mayo being bullied last week will get a reaction.....the fact that it is Galway will only amplfy that:-)

Kerry are just as physical and cynical. They will wind down the clock by feigning injury, arguing with Ref, taking ages over kick outs and general unsporting behaviour.

Cup final for Galway so I'm guessing they will play out of their skins for this specific match .
Not sure their fans or the players themselves are too pushed about an all Ireland challenge so this is the big one for them.

Ye might have more time at the end of the game if there is a change yer playing style which takes Galway ten minutes to get from one end of the field to the other.

After a few years of Mayo dominance and galway up to damn all i think it has finally come full circle and imo Galway are gone ahead of Mayo for now. Have a better squad of players at there disposal and haven't lost to mayo in a fair few years. Mayos main men are getting older every year and they aren't adding much to the crop. Still see this being very tight and expecting a rainbow selection of cards dished out. Hoping for galway to win by 2

Galway have had the Indian sign over Mayo in the last few years, so I expect this one to be feisty. A lack of discipline has cost Mayo in the last few Championship meetings ( it arguably cost us a couple of Sams as well, but I digress).

The tight confines of MacHale Park will suit the Galway counter attacking style. Mayo are more of a big pitch team and have struggled at home in recent years.

Galway by three.

Its difficult to be motivated alright, especially being the only Connacht team to bring home same in the colour television era.

This game will be very tight. Galway with they're substantial injury list and without the Corofin players are about the same level as this current Mayo team. So this could go either way.

No cups given out in February, or any month in Mayo's case....

Oh please. Whiter than white. Sounding like O'Rourke and Brolly. Football in general not always pleasing to the eye so a little disingenuous saying a particular county plays horrible football across the board. Yes we are not always good to look at and hopefully KW will adopt a more offensive approach come high Summer as we certainly have the talent.

Don't take is so personal, the Kerryman would prefer to play Mayo later on in the year when the serious stuff gets going because they'd know they'd beat them in a nice open game of football. They'd be far more worried about beating Galway, they know they were lucky enough to come away with the points on Sunday.
