Hugh game for both, the winner should challenge kildare for second place the loser may forget about promotion and may even have a relegation battle on there hands, I'm glad it's a home game for meath and with Jamie Clarke missing meath by two. With Jamie Clark sidelined I think Meath will win by 3 points. lilywhite1 (Kildare) - Posts: 2989 - 06/02/2019 18:29:47 2163054 Link 1 |
I'll take a 1 point win. But hope for a bigger margin, from a Meath point we need to show that the donegal loss spurs us on instead of dwelling on what might have been royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 06/02/2019 18:45:57 2163059 Link 0 |
Armagh by 3 or 4 even without Clarke. Meath have played 2 under strength teams so far and I think they might have a rude awakening this weekend. JJ1 (Kildare) - Posts: 547 - 06/02/2019 23:33:21 2163110 Link 3 |

Hugely looking forward to tomorrow's game. Let's hope it's not as cold as last two matches. I don't think I'm insured against frostbite royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 09/02/2019 16:33:13 2163709 Link 0 |
Im not as deluded as a lot of the Meath posters on this. Im thinking it could be a sh**fight of a match, in which case this Meath team has zero record of fronting up. The pressure is on both sides, whichever side gets its own way will win. Meath will want to play a running game from deep and they'll have to adapt to a mentally strong abrasive Armagh team who can play on the hop. Im going to be optimistic and say Meath by 1/2 by it could go either way. The free-kicks will be very important for Meath. Young_gael (Meath) - Posts: 587 - 09/02/2019 16:46:45 2163711 Link 2 |
Good win for meath. Terrible tactics for the first 15 minutes of the second half. They should have parked the bus with armagh 9 points behind. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 10/02/2019 16:41:13 2164091 Link 2 |
Phew. Was getting worred as that 2nd half drew on. Armagh made use of wind as we did in the first but our own wayward passes and poor catching werent helping. RoyalBadger (Meath) - Posts: 571 - 10/02/2019 16:51:21 2164106 Link 1 |

Can't but be happy with that display, the wind was gale force and that's no exaggeration. I turned to my two daughters at half time and said I hope 9 points is enough (never thought I'd say that) that's how strong that wind was . Armagh took off and tbh we were caught in the headlights, the subs coming in (reilly was running around having a word with everyone) mcentee was starting to get frustrated on the line with some of the errors, coughing up possession which would lead to a inevitable score due to the strong wind, suddenly a run through led to a foul which helped Newman take a shot into the wind, and while it was close in it was no gimme in those conditions, that seemed to settle the team again, devines great finish to the net just what was needed. Brilliant display, I've seen Meath lose in that position many many times over the recent past. However that took balls, and a team effort. Fantastic. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 10/02/2019 19:32:50 2164223 Link 2 |
