If every GAA match was sold out there would still be complaints:
#The pitch, the ref, the food served, the traffic, The weather, the umpires, the colour of jerseys, etc. Meath men would be among the leaders in this- slán agus níl Mí abú

Good man. You enjoy putting up that statement. Ive seen it now at least three times. Those are all trivialities youre going on about, deflecting from the real issues. But here, have the last word and keep fighting the good fight. Nice use of Irish as well. "Níl Mí abu"; are you 12 by any chance?

Galway 1-9, Monaghan 11 pts. Another win for the beautiful game. Gaillimh abú. Down with Meath.

Replying To Young_gael:  "Surely this isnt a debate. We're all adults of the 21st century, surely its absolutely obvious why people arent watching as much anymore or going to games. Its uncompetetive, the GAA has seen to that over a prolonged period of maybe 20 years with a skewed conveyer of money to Dublin. Other counties havent the opportunities. There's a nationwide player drain. The provincial system in the championships were always predictable but the floor has fallen through on them gradually and roughly since the turn of the millenium. The brand and style of play is hard to watch on TV and even harder to watch in person. The cynical play that has led to the invention of the black card, and the sin bin and so on. In fact the constant meddling with the rules shows that the identity of the game is in repute. The days of fairytales are over, and people seem to know it. Its become a technical, tactical game where there's rarely any surprises after the 70 minutes. 2018 also saw a great FIFA world cup and a great season for Irish rugby. Both were also circumstantial to the poor showing of Football. Imo as someone who still loves the game, it needs an enormous overhaul."
The sport us to be retired....

If some of the crap football( I hesitate to even call it that) that's being played nowadays takes hold it'll instantly solve the problem the GAA have developing grounds. They won't be needed because nobody will be going to matches.

Ah RD stay away from the defense mechanism. Royals going well and fair play. But to say ye gave us a lesson in football 2 yrs ago in Navan is stretching it a bit. We lost by a point and we were missing our key player.

By the way not sure what my fellow county poster is on. Usually a decent poster on the local forum. Too many fruit pastilles?

I know my fellow county person posting some strange stuff but Brolly come on. Anyway Meath are not second rate although I think we are overall better than ye these days. Things don't last for ever so I don't believe in throwing stones. Humility afar better trait than the opposite.

Kildare are playing crap football, you lost again yesterday. So bíonn tú ag caint ráiméis. It is a fact that posters from counties like Kildare, Derry and Meath, all second rate, are the biggest critics of football. While Dubs, Kerry, Galway and Mayo are usually the most positive.

14 man Kildare yeah. My point was he was bracketing Galway with Dublin........Which last summer proved is being more than generous.

When did you read a post of mine criticising football? Yes we played badly on Saturday. But please don't make sweeping statements.
The Kildare V Armagh league game was regarded as one of the best games of the opening round of the league.

Not a bad crowd in Navan, Armagh brought a good away following, Meath dominated the first half with a strong wind, Armagh dominated the next 22mins, a penalty, some strange decisions by ref, decent programme, Meath deserved it, not 'mind-blowing football, but entertaining for February..... yes some games are poor, but this had moments of excitement in the second half when Armagh had Meath on the ropes.....

We need to look at the positives
