Delighted for Leitrim, great to see them escape Div 4, serious achievement after struggling for a while now.

We done it! Finally escaped the basement.

Div 4 has always had unexpected results. This year was no different. Leitrim could easily be on 4 points instead of 10.

Wexford who we thought would be challengers were the hardest to predict. They lost to London and Waterford but beat Antrim and Wicklow.
Antrim lost 3 games by 1 point. They could easily be on 8 points instead of 2.
Wicklow probably should have beaten us but then lost to Wexford as well which I didn't expect.
Limerick looked every bit as good as us in Kilmallock but defeats against us and Wicklow cost them.
Waterford and London did what we expected and caused a few shocks.
Derry too have walked up without probably getting out of second gear. Our match with them in Celtic park is now a dead rubber game and neither side will probably show their hand until Croker.
Derry will be favourites now for the title in Croker. I hope Leitrim can up their game because we need a vast improvement on our London performance to have any hope of causing an upset.

Thumbs down for all the congratulatory posts, it seems! Someone must be bitter.

Great campaign for Leitrim. Looking forward to seeing them in Croke Park on March 30.

Derry are favorites based on tradition. Leitrim need to maintain a winning mentality and try to win three remaining games. The season does'nt end on March 3O. Beating Roscommon in the Hyde has to be an ambition for our talented team. First though go to Derry and get a result.

Not sure if Leitrim and Derry will play their full teams in their league fixture. From my point of view it's job done now anyway. Promotion was the aim. I think we'll have just about enough to pip the league final but just glad of the day out/opportunity to play at Croke Park to be honest. Happy for Leitrim, Hyland seems to have done a great job there.

Will there be much of a crowd from Derry at the final, do you think?

Unfortunately, I would very much doubt it to be honest. We have to be one of the worst supported teams in the country.

Well we won the dress rehearsal. Not that it matters much. Both teams likely to be much changed for the final. Shane McGuigan impressed, scoring 2-05.

Didn't get to the game but heard we made 9 changes, we wouldn't have a deep enough squad to be doing that. Did Derry make many changes? Hoping for a more competitive game in the final, congrats on your promotion also.

I'd expect 5 or 6 changes come the final anyway. Thanks and same to yourselves.

6 wins out of 7 is the best league campaign I ever remember Leitrim having, hope we produce a big display in Croke Park next weekend, we will need too as Derry will be our toughest test yet . Great to have this to look forward to after all the years in the doldrums when it looked like we'd never get out of Division 4. County is buzzing for next Saturday which is great to see.

I hope Leitrim wear that traditional jersey (like 80's) similar to Kerry and the old Donegal jersey green with gold band across the chest... you know the jersey I'm on about? It's a nice jersey!

Leitrim will bring a good crowd to Croker Saturday. Lot of people planning a night out after the match. Hoping the final doesn't pass us by and we rise to the occasion against Derry. We know we're really up against it as Derry probably shouldn't be in Div 4 in the first place but miracles can happen and we finally have a day in Croker where we collect a trophy. That would be as good as an All-Ireland to us.

Derry shouldn't be in Division 4? We were deservedly relegated. Genuinely happy for Leitrim getting promotion but let's cut the crap. We're no big shakes.

Best Of Luck to Leitrim on Saturday.. Really looking forward to watching them in Croker. Looks to be a very good youthful team, hopefully only the start for them.
