When we finally woke up in the middle third on Sunday it was the winning of the game. Quinn, Dolan and Mark Plunkett were all poor in the first half but our best players in the second. Our injured players were all doing a training session on St Marys pitch before the game which is a huge plus. Dean McGovern, Fergal McTague and Oisin Madden will all be very close to starting or getting a place on our bench against Limerick. If fit I'd start McTague. Have a feeling Madden will also eventually push Sean McWeeney. Agree with what was said about Flanagan. He's abit of a lunatic but every team needs one! Think he is going to be a good impact player to be bringing off the bench. Interestingly, Cathal McCrann is also back on the panel. Cathal mc crann back?? He's retired a few years now is well over 30 and busy with work and a young family I'd be surprised if he is coming back.

Well the word is that he's back in training. No matter what his age is he's brilliant in the air, very comfortable on the ball and his kickouts are arguably still the best on the county. And importantly our back up keeper hasn't even played first team league or Championship yet. Will put serious pressure on McKiernan which should raise his standards.

If Mc Crann is back on the panel, even at his age, it will be a huge plus. However, I don't believe he is........ leitrimlhady (Leitrim) - Posts: 74 - 13/02/2019 09:56:02 2165030 Link 0 0 |

Limerick hurlers are in the Gaelic Grounds on the Sunday v Cork and it is a 2pm throw in so highly doubt our game will be moved.

can't be in Kilmallock at 5pm - there's no floodlights there. I'm told now it will stay on the Saturday but won't be in Rathkeale as it isn't big enough to cope with what is likely to travel from Lovely Leitrim; will be in either the Gaelic Grounds or more likely Kilmallock. Limerick don't want football in the GG ahead of a big hurling game.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's moved to Newcastle West. Now that's a good trek from Leitrim.

Thanks for that. Some bitter memories of Kilmallock from 2008. We were relegated to Div 4 on that ground. We shouldn't have lost that day. It would be good to set the record straight this time.
