All the points he scored were balls won by others and just hand passed to him to strike over, clearly they had to be scored but from open play he was a distant second to Declan Hannon."
You have to be in the right position to avail of these throw out passes. Great players make it look easy .

If Galway had won or drawn that game which nearly happened then 90% of the credit would have to go to Joe Canning

You're probably right but it would have been daylight robbery. Even as a diehard Galway fan I think Limerick were far better on the day.

Definitely Trump but my post was in reply to another poster who said Canning just got a few handy scores, nothing special.

Yeah there's a few of them around I notice. I don't know what they have against Joe Canning but it's noticeable. Maybe it's jealousy or that they've lost money on bets due to him or whatever. Who knows?

He gets most of the credit when Galway wins so maybe it's a kind of target on his back.
