There is plans for a bridge across the river, but like everything in Ireland it takes years to actually get it done

Replying To PoolSturgeon:  "In every sense PUC is a replica of Croke Park, except in a smaller scale. The grass in Croke Park and PUC is of a specially cultured variety and AFAIK is quite different than the "ordinary" grass you will find at every other ground in the country. IIRC the Croke Park sod was even specially imported from Britain. I would imagine the fact that it is a "specialist" grass is one reason why they are so determined to prevent fans entering the pitch after games in CP and PUC in addition to the insurance reasons also."
I get that completely and fair enough about stopping people coming onto the pitch. My main concern is they are using volunteers to be effectively security guards. Unless they are qualified and licensed if they lay a finger on any individual they are leaving themselves open to potentially serious litigation. The private security area is fully licensed and regulated and fines are quite penal - even worse should you lay a finger on anyone.
