Kilkenny Vs Limerick

If Limerick don't man mark TJ and leave Kyle Hayes on Buckley they'll be destroyed. They do not possess enough of a scoring threat to trouble top teams. I would say that the KK full back line of Murphy, Walsh and Deegan is much better than Limericks strongest line of Gillane, Flanagan and Mulcahy added to the fact that limerick are playing two backs in their half forward line means they have very little scoring threat.

Limerick have no marquee player and no go to forward - every other county panel left has at least 1 if not 2. If Walter Walsh was from Limerick he'd be their best forward by a mile. Gillane has not done it in championship game yet, maybe it is in him but i dont think so.

Only hope they have is the fact that KK are playing 3 Weeks on the bounce but even still they wont be sable to cope with the pressure put on them. Interesting to see how effective Cian Lynch will be on Sunday, If you start trying fancy flicks and touches against KK you're on a hiding to nothing.

I actually hope Limerick win but i just don't see how it is possible!

Limerick have no scoring threat? 28 pints in cork with 14 men i think 22 or 23 from play fair enough if you dont think they'll win but i think you're wrong on scoring threat and by the way who's wexfords 1 or 2 marquee players?

A draw for me. Kilkenny will win the replay; draw against Cork in the semi's, win the replay; then draw again in the final against Wexford, then win the replay. Setting a record for the amount of Championship games played in one year.

Maybe I'm bonkers but I can only see a Limerick win comfortably enough.

See how Rory O Connor, Lee Chin and Liam Ryan get on today. 3 Leinster teams for the semis in my opinion! Think Munster is wayyyyyyyy overrated

Kk lucky to have 15 still on the field as Duggan should be off.
Good game so far considering it's lashing down in Thurles.
Too many misses from Kk and if Limerick don't beat them today they'll never have a better chance.
Kk goalkeeper keeping them in it.

Savage game of hurling, KK go out no one to blame but themselves for a shocking amount of wides, but well done Limerick. End of an era.

Yes limerick yes delighted for ya's great win and the better team no doubt fair play to Kilkenny you never give up but it's Limerick's day and they will have zero fear of Cork they know they can beat them. I would love to see limerick win it out.

Wow what a game. Morrisey the main man.

Limerick didn't fade after Kilkenny's goal, they scored a point immediately, and scored3 more points. If it wasn't for 4 or 5 excellent Eoin Murphy saves, Limerick would have been out of sight. Kilkenny relied on old names, butLeahy andDonnelly made a big contribution to Kilkenny. 2 for the future.

If Limerick could improve their puck outs, too many sent over the sideline for me, and hand passing they could be a threat.

Thought they were better team after opening 10 minutes.

The refereeing was a disgrace. He gave Limerick the game. This is not only my view. some of his decisions against Kilkenny and the blatantly obvious fouls he didn't give Kilkenny were commented on during the game. All of these decisions cost Kilkenny at least 4 or 5 points. plus a probably goal from a penalty. In turn, in some cases where the foul wasn't given Limerick scored a point. I know refs have hard job, but this was something else. For instance, how could he judge Richie Hogan had thrown the ball. when he was twenty yards away, the TV slow motion was inconclusive. Some will say I'm bitter. but a great game of hurling was decided by an incompetent, (or maybe it wasn't incompetence) ref. Good luck Limerick.

Congratulations Limerick wouldn't begrudge them an All Ireland and that win today should give them a huge boost, I do agree on the refereeing which I thought was pretty poor today, how he didn't give a free in when Donnelly was hit high with KK a point up was mind boggling!!! However 45 years of waiting is over for Limerick with a win over the Cats, that'll be worthy of a few pints around Shannonside this evening.......

I thought ref was very poor and most decisions seemed to favour Limerick. That said I doubt KK will have to many excuses they put in a huge effort and came up short.

Refereeing was poor. John Donnelly denied a blatant free and limerick go straight up the other end to score a point. That was the turning point at the end

I agree about the free, it was so obvious and dangerous which would have been at least a yellow card and a probable (near certain from TJ) point from the free. Instead Limerick moved the ball up field and scored a point, so instead of KK being rightly 2 points up, they were level. They mentioned it on TV. Anyway, as I said previously. Good luck Limerick, I hope you go on and win the AI.

you're being very selective about your 'turning point'. Limerick got 2 scorable frees all day and I saw plenty of fouls not given and then kk getting next score. and kk should have had a red at start of 2nd for hurley strike.

And I just remembered kk got a 65 which was scored that the replays showed was a puck out.

But your being biased, My comments are referring to comments made by neutral commentators on TV, Plus, there has already been two (neutral) people from other counties who have said the ref favoured Limerick. Enjoy your win.
