it is simply a matter of time before a referee is yet again assaulted by an irate manager/supporter/player. is it time to give them body cameras? i feared for the safety of the referee in portlaoise last night if galway had been beaten. why is this a constant gaa problem?it does NOT go on in any other sport. i honestly think we need to go down the road of year bans for anybody who approaches the referee after a game.

It needs to be more than year long bans for approaching referees depending on circumstances there isnt proper respect for the referee or the rules of the sports. improve the rules and improve training for refs and increase sanctions for abuse
