Brilliant from the lilies, the more I look at Kerry's group the tougher it gets!

Great prediction.

You should write a mystic meg column for the national papers.

Very comfortable performance, won pulling up from before half time. Fermanagh actually kicked some decent scores once the game was over. Dreadful shooting from them in the first half. Moolick, Feely, three Flynns all brilliant along with both Cribbins. Fermanagh only really got anything going once we benched a few for next week. It does make you wonder how Fermanagh made the Ulster final. Anyway, mission accomplished and onto where we wanted to be, in the Super 8s.

They scored 2-15 against Dublin this time 3 years ago going man for man, has anyone managed that since. The midfield battle could be decisive here, both very strong in this area. Fermanagh will be fresh and they don't usually do self pity. If management realise that what they are doing is outdated. the people that say it is one to be avoided could be wrong. Here's hoping"
That somrthing was telling you lies :)

As a neutral I went to the game last night, I was very impressed with the speed and pace of kildare's attack changing angles and having numbers in their attack.

Kildare ran out easy winners and had the luxery of taking of the like of the Cribbens, Daniel Flynn, Kevin Feely and so on.
This game could have been different in the first half as Kildare scored nearly anytime they shot while Fermanagh missed a small fortune between bad wides and dropping balls into the keepers hands. Had the Eoin Donnelly shot at the start went in, then the result could have been a closer affair.
All credit to Kildare who were ruthless and put Fermanagh to the sword. As a Monaghan man all I was thinking why didn't we play with the aggression and tempo against Fermanagh in Ulster.

One negative note for kildare for last night.
To concede 18 points to Fermanagh in a game is worrying and frankly if Fermanagh hasn't been so wayward with their shooting in the first half it could easily have been 1-25,
Their backs did seem very open when run at.

Anyway hopefully Monaghan can overcome Laois to play the lillies next weekend.

We benched half the team to save engines for next week. I would have rathered leave a few on a bit longer and really arrive in the super 8s in super style but the lads are on the road a good few weeks now i suppose

What a week for Kildare football, beat Mayo, winning a Leinster U20, beat Fermanagh make the S8's.

Brilliant to see.

There was always far more to Kildare, then the judgement made based on the league this year, every win a narrow win in the main.

Bonus territory now, nothing to loose, will be a good season regardless of what happens.

This is what the S8's should be about a good young team getting the opportunity to play another three championship games in the height of the summer, the expedience and development is huge, to build on what they have already done.

Delighted for Kildare, hopefully the county is stirred and the huge crowds come out.

Wasn't being patronising at all. These results turn up now and again I suppose. What I was surprised at was how well the Fermanagh lads could take their scores when they threw the shackles off late in the second half as opposed to their shooting in the first half when they were trying to be defensive, their shooting seemed to suffer too. If they are capable of taking scores as they did late on(albeit when we had taken off a few), why doesn't Gallagher let them at it a bit more? They are capable of more if he gave them their head and trusted them. I hope bit by bit defensive football is being shown not to work. Anyway we will meet each other again next spring in the league.
