Dublin Vs Donegal

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Murphy if played at full forward for a while will definitely cause us bother. Our failings under the high ball have never been fully resolved since Rory O'Carroll left. McBrearty is a monstrous loss for Donegal as him playing would really give our full back line a headache. I would have especially feared for Philly McMahon against him as I think he is playing like a fella whose legs are going. Along with himself I would fear for the discipline of Cooper and Small and potentially costing us big in a big game. They play very very close to the line and have been lucky enough so far by and large. Only for Vaughan saw the line last year in the final Small's silliness in getting a second yellow would have cost us dearly. Same the year before he should have walked for throwing an elbow in the final. I'd fully expect Donegal to cause us plenty of problems but we should pull away with around 10-15 mins left with quality replacements to be brought on to freshen things up.

I see Small's red card has been upheld & he is out for the Donegal game.
Who would have thought it? Croke Park finally growing a pair when it comes to Dublin.

Can still be appealed but doubt they'll bother. He didn't start the Leinster Final anyway and not like there are a lack of other options with McCaffrey and O'Sullivan both back in contention. Small will get game time in the other two games though I'm sure.

You must have missed our best player being given a rather harsh ban last year. Give over fishing!!

Ah jackeen, fishing on HS is one of the few pleasures still afforded me by Mrs MuckrossHead, that and two spoons of sugar in my tea.

Even that might be under threat today judging by the look on her face.

I'd like to thank all my country brethren's efforts over the last few weeks in manfully staving off any Dublin apathy through their rigorous application of ignorance, victimhood and counterfactual whingeing. Good on you all, your work is sincerely appreciated.

Let's hope fish isn't you're only form of nourishment Muck because given you're angling performace to date you'd starve! Ask the missus for 3 spoons of sugar to keep your energy levels up.

Probably another thing your delegation achieved when they made their demands recently.

Jimmy's winning matches must have written an article about it somewhere.

Please. Comparing Paddy's loss and Small's loss is like comparing me at hurling to Christy Ring.

Jimmy is gone for 4 years now, I don't get the obsession with him. His is the opinion of just one individual ... same as Charlie Redmond, Alan Brogan, Keith Barr, Roy Curtis, Ciaran Whelan, Jimmy Keavney etc ...

There was no demand of a venue change from the Donegal CB.
They simply seeked clarification on how a venue could be both a home and a neutral venue for one team giving them two home fixtures while the other three teams get one home match .. simple as !
