The End Of Dublin's Dominance?

(Oldest Posts First)

I think the only thing to potentially derail another successful All Ireland bid is either Cluxton or Fenton getting injured. Don't forget we have coped in the past with the loss of Rory O'Carroll (Cooper moved to no.3 and won an All Star), MDMA (James McCarthy went to midfield and won an All Star) and have coped in attack without starting Berno, Flynn and Connolly in the recent past. We lost McCaffrey who was motoring really well after a few mins of the final last year and yeah we made hard work of it but still came out the right side of things. O'Sullivan missing for a large period isn't ideal but again we have more than enough cover there to hold the fort until he comes back. He is probably the third "irreplaceable" to add to the two I mentioned before.

We are only in March, league final to look forward to on Sunday and lets also not forget by all account the squad haven't begun the hard slog training yet. I think a positive result on Sunday will ease the slight unrest at the moment (Connolly's absence not helping this either) and then give the younger lads a good run out in Leinster and have the usual big guns to call upon when the big boy stuff starts in the Super 8s.

Last Sunday's defeat is exactly what this team needed! Nice kick up the backside heading into this weekend.
