Fair play to the staff of Pairc Ui Rinn for doing a lot of good work which allowed the Cork vs Waterford game to be played. G.A.A._fan (Laois) - Posts: 102 - 18/03/2018 19:03:27 2085465 Link 0 |
I think the cost would have something to do with it. In all fairness about once every 6 or 7 years we get a bad dose of snow so i dont think it would be worth investing in the covers. Also what ever about the pitch being playable or not the lead up to the stadium has to be safe for the supporters who come so again who would cover that cost, its all about money in the gaa unfortunately. But it would be a great idea to at least have one major stadium in each province to have covers mrsme (USA) - Posts: 172 - 18/03/2018 19:27:18 2085483 Link 0 |
Flower Lodge is a good pitch. The snow stopped falling there earlier than other places aswell. I think the Gaelic Grounds match should have went ahead..overly cautious..barely any snow on it. PeggyShippen (Limerick) - Posts: 300 - 18/03/2018 19:46:16 2085496 Link 0 |
