Replying To DannyMcA:  "It actually isn't a matter of fact at all. It's a matter of opinion. Yours differs from the refs. Simple. Keeper is entirely right in my opinion."
That's a great get out clause for refs and the gaa in general "a matter of opinion" well I know the rules played the game an I know what isn't a free, like for g sake watch it again an tell me how it could be a free,, decisions like this degrade the gaa

You know the rules....I know the rules and I daresay the ref knows the rules so yes at the end of the day we only have our own judgement on it. The only opinion that matters is the refs whether you or I agree or not. Read Keepers interpretation of the free. That's what my opinion is too. How you can say that decision degrades the GAA is beyond me to be honest.

Replying To Oldtourman:  "Well it certainly should at least be re fixed for Thurles., as CP would hardly be a pitch Cuala are used to playing in."
Cuala were training on the crokepark pitch last Sunday after our game with Dublin, they were out in the tunnel in their tracksuits watching the end of the game.

I was talking to a guy the other day and I was telling him this and his club were in a junior football final in crokepark about 10 years ago and they asked crokepark could the have a kick around on the pitch the day before and they were told no not a hope.

It would make no sense having the replay in Croke Park. Thurles would be suitable
or perhaps the Gaelic Grounds as Cuala may like to return the favour of Na Piarsaig
having played in Croke Park and seen that Cuala had an opportunity of a training
session in Croke Park last Sunday. Also, it was a little bit much of Cuala to leave the
Limerick boys waiting two or three minutes in the freezing cold on two occassions
before resumption of play yesterday. Mischievous and unsporting, there should be
sanction for this behaviour.

Replying To daytona11:  "They never had it won. Even when they were 3 points up they took the wrong decision with the ball. They played 50/50 passes instead of 70/30 passes and killing the game."
They were ahead by 3 points in normal time with time almost up, Cuala score a goal from free. In extra time, less than 30 seconds to go, match is levelled by a free. Na Piarsaigh should have closed it out both times.

Replying To Oldtourman:  "And do you believe he himself was not fouled just before that?"
I believe he was hit hard and surrounded but no I didn't think it was a free just shows how hard it is for refs

Refs who have a laissez faire approach end up letting blatant trips and obvious frees go and that's never good. People ignore it to a certain extent when the match is barrelling along but when the last 5 mins come along then that lax attitude becomes a nightmare. The ref was poor yesterday. You have to blow a free for every trip and flick on elbows. Let the barely mis timed shoulder go if you must to keep the game from becoming totally non contact (fast becoming non contact) but you cannot make up rules or refuse to uphold tge games laws as a ref.

The Limerick Senior team were not allowed a practice run out on the field before the 96 All Ireland, despite the fact that their opponents had played all the championship matches there for years. One law for some people, as they say.

Ye played there in the semifinal so hardly a big deal.

I rewound it a couple of times. Casey shipped a tackle but it wasn't a foul. Then he tried to sidestep & you can clearly see his foot dig into the ground which caused him to fall over. When the Cuala player went to recover the ball Casey blatantly held his hurley. The ref got this particular decision spot on. Please disperse. Nothing to see here.

Absolutely, and I'm sure the dubs football and hurling teams are allowed to train there when they want. Every team should be allowed an hour to have run around.

The performance of Corofin really was a joy. It was a shame that Nemo never really got going but all the skills that can make football a great game to watch and play were on display from Corofin on Saturday. Great watching a team play who clearly love playing the game rather than only focusing on winning.

Some very soft frees today for both sides. It's an entertaining match. Cuala were the better side over that first 30 mins but are only a point up. Ronan Lynch has missed two easy points and Treacy missed a very easy free. The quality isn't as good today. Will O Donoghue midfield is all over the shop...and not in a good way.

Well done Cuala - given Dublin hurling a huge lift - I'll be having a few.

Well done Cuala. Cooler heads when all is said and done. Some of the Na Piarsaigh defending was kamikaze stuff. The amount of frees they gave away. Alan Dempsey excused of course. Cuala deserved it.

Brilliant game, thoroughly enjoyed it, two excellent teams. Cuala finished the stronger and just about deserved it.
