lol he has 5 Sams I think, super guy, not too shabby from Corofin but they need to focus for second half

2 odd decisions from ref which seems to occur when one team is leading well...
Quick free brought back when a goal was on
extra 40 seconds added at end when 1 minute signalled and no stoppages
superb football from the Corofin lads
great kick passing and support play

TOS is not any worse than most of the other Rangers, not at the races at all, maybe in second half

Yeh i agree. Would love to see nemo scoring 3 or 4 in a row to make a game of it.

Corofin by far the better team. Nothing went right for Nemos to even put a decent scoreline in. Corofin won't take the foot off the pedal regardless of how much they lead by

It's a bit boring to see Corofin win Galway easily each year but at least they're the best team in the country and have set a standard I hope other clubs need to be at.

Congrats Corofin a mighty team

I reckon corofin kicked 2.17 from play in 60 min
and playing some fantastic football at that
their movement off the ball,
the kick passing was perfection
you can only dream of playing like that on the big day
and corofins dream came true
football in galway on the up

The Corofin skill levels are unbelievable, they can all play of both feet and both hands, they can all win their own ball. They are machines and they are young, Power 28, Silkes 27, 23 & 18, Colin Brady 21, Ciaran Brady 22, Daithi Burke 25, Ian Burke 25, Cunningham 23, Farraghers 23 & 28, Lundy 28, Molloy 21, Wall 22,Steede 26, Mc Hugh 20, Leonard 23, & Sice is an old fella at 33. They will be adding more trophies.

Well done Corofin. Great game plan by management, controlled the match from start to finish. There will be some celebrating in Raftery's tonight and tomorrow when Andy arrives!!

Shocking decision by ref at the end of the hurling.

There is no low too low for the gaa,, what a disgraceful free award to cuala,, after explaining the rules to the younger generation here,, I now have to re explain that the rules sometimes change to suit certain situations,, in this case to make a draw of the game

Some game and fair play to Cuala! It looked like it was over and it certainly looked like they got a bit of luck with that call

But there was still plenty to do

Cuala definitely got out of jail

Horrendous call by the ref jim.

I hate complaining about refs. Hate it. But by god Cuala got at least 5 points (3 frees) 1-2 from really poor calls.

Heart breaking for na piarsiagh.

Yeah wasn't a free but sure it wasn't in the net just because the ref blew the whistle. but in injury time it looked like a free to Cuala that wasn't given and it would have been a tap over free

Great game to be at and made up for the football final but hats off to Corofin ! A very good team indeed

The hurling final was a cracker but for me, playing these games in a stadium that seemed at least two-thirds empty really detracts from the occasion. Watching one tv, the noise of the crowd seemed like a distant echo and it hard was hard to feel any excitement, even though the game itself was close and high quality all through. I know the players and supporters want their big day out in Croke Park but I think it would be a much better occasion if the games were played in full of a packed house at a smaller venue. (Agree that the free that resulted in Cuala's goal should never have been given).

Yes was at the match and would agree Cuala got the better of the calls from the ref. But if NAP had more composure they would have won the game regardless of refereeing decisions. When they were 3 points up in the last few mins they took a rather panicked approach to defending. People watching on TV may have a better idea regarding the free that was awarded that led to the goal but before that, NAP were over anxious in their defending. They were in a great position and with cooler heads could have seen seen the game out. Cuala did not deserve to win and NAP did not deserve to lose so a replay is a satisfactory outcome from this neutrals point of view. Terrific entertainment provided today by both teams.
