Replying To patk:  "Yeah I think it was on the GAA Hour podcast where they were talking about Beggan being a great outlet for the defence if they're under pressure. He doesn't mind drifting out to the wing and offering another option for a pass. The only thing is that it can be risky enough, and you need a goalie very comfortable on the ball. Beggan would be fairly comfortable out the field though, he actually scored a point from play in a club league game last year, and he wasn't playing outfield!"
I didn't hear that podcast but I must down load it later, I heard the boys on terrace talk last week mentioning that the Laois goalkeeper plays as a fly keeper which is I suppose something similar.

A bit late to the show..but congrats to Monaghon .
Not too disappointed by the defeat as Kerry came back into it in the second half big time and the young lads would have learnt more from this game as from the other two.

That's the spirit if only because Kerry can try out new lads without real fear of relegation ......other counties not so lucky. We have found 4 or 5 possible new starters for summer which is great......hopefully we stay up too !
