Replying To rhudson:  "Well done to all the galway lads on the NUIG team
who beat UCC down in cork in the sigerson today,
they are now through to the semi final
another good indicator of the health of galway football
I believe ucc were favs to win"
A great win for the old Alma Mater and Galway in general all right. And in Cork too no less.

9 Galway lads on the team too which is a higher amount than most years for NUIG.

In fairness though when you look at both teams nearly all those Galway lads have played in either minor or U-21 All-Ireland finals so they are no mugs despite the heavy Kerry representation on the UCC team.

At least on Sunday we will have a ref from a neutral province unlike last weekend, at least 2 of the 4 division 1 matches had refs from the same province as 1 of the competing teams and yes they both won, Dublin and Kerry

Should be an enjoyable game and im hoping for a Mayo win , if anything so its keeps us clear of relegation zone giving a platform to try out new players during the campaign.

You forgot Monaghan v Kildare.
What happened to Donegal?
Only for them you might really have cracked it.

Poor enough fayre so far, Galway obviously are intent on counter-attacking, Mayo with little clue on how to break down the blanket so far. Beautifully taken goal from Galway's perspective, though Ger Caff probably rushed in beforehand.

Andy's presence definitely missed so far, Mayo coughing up far too much ball in their FF line.

Mayo are losing the heads, about time O'connor was sent off, good player but my god he's a pest. Galway been the much better team, fair play to them winning 3/3

Mayo losing the plot big time, are the O'Connors gone for our game?
Regarding Galway, they look very decent, I honestly can't remember the last time we played them in a competitive fixture and I'm really looking forward to it.

Galway much the better team. Ref completely lost control of the game. Comer was excellent but how did he manage to remain on the pitch. I lost count of the number of fouls he committed.

Congrats Galway and hard luck to Mayo, Evan Regan was a big loss today and Andy Moran, condolences to his family. May 13 should be a cracker in Castlebar. Gaillimh Abu

There isn't a referee in the world who could have controlled that shambles of a game.

Well, that was crazy.
Mayo were missing Andy Moran (condolences to him and his family)
Not going to go in to much detail here but Sean Andy, Comer and Brannigan were brilliant for Galway.
That match was only a glimpse for what is to come on May 13th.

I don't think you can blame the ref there. Mayo in the last 10 minutes were more interested in starting rows than playing football. As for Aidan O'Shea how he managed to stay on the pitch, God only knows.
