A great win for the old Alma Mater and Galway in general all right. And in Cork too no less.

9 Galway lads on the team too which is a higher amount than most years for NUIG. In fairness though when you look at both teams nearly all those Galway lads have played in either minor or U-21 All-Ireland finals so they are no mugs despite the heavy Kerry representation on the UCC team. At least on Sunday we will have a ref from a neutral province unlike last weekend, at least 2 of the 4 division 1 matches had refs from the same province as 1 of the competing teams and yes they both won, Dublin and Kerry riverboys (Mayo) - Posts: 1389 - 09/02/2018 20:58:00 2075310 Link 0 |
Not favorites tag is a great tonic for Galway football, keep it up Hoganstand analysts. Gaillimh Abu suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1667 - 09/02/2018 20:59:08 2075311 Link 0 |
Should be an enjoyable game and im hoping for a Mayo win , if anything so its keeps us clear of relegation zone giving a platform to try out new players during the campaign. Vishred (Mayo) - Posts: 303 - 10/02/2018 03:52:30 2075351 Link 0 |
Sure that's it. Refs are biased!!!

You forgot Monaghan v Kildare. What happened to Donegal? Only for them you might really have cracked it. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 10/02/2018 11:22:53 2075382 Link 0 |
How many Damien Comers do Galway have ? GreenandRed (Mayo) - Posts: 7337 - 11/02/2018 14:23:22 2075784 Link 1 |
Poor enough fayre so far, Galway obviously are intent on counter-attacking, Mayo with little clue on how to break down the blanket so far. Beautifully taken goal from Galway's perspective, though Ger Caff probably rushed in beforehand. Gleebo (Mayo) - Posts: 2208 - 11/02/2018 14:55:33 2075797 Link 0 |

Mayo are losing the heads, about time O'connor was sent off, good player but my god he's a pest. Galway been the much better team, fair play to them winning 3/3 Hill16Army (Dublin) - Posts: 88 - 11/02/2018 15:37:30 2075807 Link 5 |
Mayo losing the plot big time, are the O'Connors gone for our game? realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8586 - 11/02/2018 15:38:40 2075808 Link 1 |
Galway much the better team. Ref completely lost control of the game. Comer was excellent but how did he manage to remain on the pitch. I lost count of the number of fouls he committed. neverright (Roscommon) - Posts: 1648 - 11/02/2018 15:45:38 2075812 Link 0 |
Congrats Galway and hard luck to Mayo, Evan Regan was a big loss today and Andy Moran, condolences to his family. May 13 should be a cracker in Castlebar. Gaillimh Abu suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1667 - 11/02/2018 15:48:23 2075814 Link 1 |
There isn't a referee in the world who could have controlled that shambles of a game.

I don't think you can blame the ref there. Mayo in the last 10 minutes were more interested in starting rows than playing football. As for Aidan O'Shea how he managed to stay on the pitch, God only knows.
