So many people going for Tipp.
They'll love this in Kk.

Some game so far..

It's never boring with Tipp v Kilkenny!!

If it continues on like this it'll be another cracker..

Congrats to Kilkenny. Awesome achievement when you consider the players they've lost in the last few years and also through injury. Disappointed in Tipps performance. I was sure that the winner of Tipp vs Limerick were the team to beat.

Tipp were poor today but I'd say Kilkenny have more training done.I still expect Tipp to be serious contenders come the championship. If these two teams meet in August/September,I'd expect a different result from today.

Congrats to the Cats once again a Tipp team being written up fails to fire in a final and especially against a hungrier and more organised Kilkenny team. They got better every game since the Clare defeat. Tipp have had an up and down league but the same problems remain. Full back line exposed conceding far too much 1-21 v poor Cork team, 0-20 against a worse Dublin team 1-31 v Limerick minus about 5 of their best players and today 2-23 against what looked on paper a weak enough forward line minus Reid and Walsh. Far too many frees conceded and you give a class player like TJ a free shot at goal. I know Tipp have Callinan Bonner Noel and Dan to come back in but Limerick will be a huge test and will certainly define how our season goes. No complaints about the result everytime we play in Nowlan Park mentally we freeze.Plenty of work for Tipp. Roll on championship. We haven't heard the last meeow yet.

Certainly Kilkenny weren't nearly as impressive today as Galway were in beating Tipp in the corresponding fixture last year.! Cody will be worried.

Thanks Port for running this.
Very nearly went for KK in this one (easy say that after I know!), but I did predict they would beat us in the earlier rounds!
Looking forward to the cship competition

comparing a match 12 months ago to yesterdays is a bit silly,I assumed from your post that because Tipp were poor we werent much better, you dont know much about Cody,he doesnt do worry and yesterdays match is history as far as he is concerned,

The only comparison for me is that we didn't get wiped by as much but mind u we got a soft second goal and KK did hit a few wides near the end. Better team by easily 10 points plus.

Do you understand exclamation marks at all.? That was a tongue in cheek post mooncat.Cody will I'm sure be very happy after yesterday but it's all to play for in the Summer and nobody could call the All-Ireland hurling champions of 2018 at this stage.

Was at the game yesterday great win for Kilkenny. Couldn't believe the announcement when it said just over 17,000 in attendance, I thought there was at least 22,000 or 23,000 at the game. The pitch was in great order also

I know what an exclamation mark is,and I wouldnt put it at the end of a tongue in cheek sentence, now I am putting a full stop.end of conversation.

No bother preddan. We will go the whole hog and cover the McDonagh, Ring and Rackard championships too. Any ideas on how we could add to the competition to make it more interesting?

Yes well done faithful , we have a go again next year. roll on the championship this new home/away format will be exciting . I think it will be hard for any team to remain unbeaten in the group stages bar Galway of course ha ha

How about an extra two points to predict the winners of each competition before a ball is pucked (i.e. Munster cship, Joe Mc cup, All Ireland etc.)?
Or just a tie breaker question to be picked at the start of the year (like top scorer, top goalscorer or something)?
Just throwing out a few suggestions!

Thanks from me also. Good bit of crack trying to pick these matches. I look forward to the Championship as it's as wide open as ever. No clear cut favorite. Maybe Wexford or Limerick or Clare, etc can push on further this year.
