Replying To GreenandRed:  "Poor auld Kerry and some of their super-sensitive supporters who dislike any form of criticism of the mighty Kingdom. Offaly beating ye is many neutrals fsvourite game. Not because they were delighted to see as truly great Kerry team beaten. It was the romance of Offally, rarely mentioned in the list of great football counties, stopping a five-in-a-row and their supersub scoring a great goal in the last minutes. A game of absolute folklore that produced one of the great GAA books."
I'm not a bit sensitive greenandred, criticism is part of sport, I'm just pointing out that joe hates us Kerry folk more than dislikes us, when Tyrone were beating us he was ranting that Tyrone were building an dynasty, when Donegal were getting the better of us he was on jim mcguinness's wagon, now the dubs are on top he's jumped on jim Galvin's wagon, he never came out and complimented the brilliant Kerry minor teams over the last 4/5 years but I suppose if you haven't something bad to say don't say anything at all.

Replying To suckvalleypaddy:  "Absolutely correct, Sky is more professional and objective, Brolly has overt contempt and distain for Connacht teams in his analysis but he is good at his job overall and I hope he sticks around."
Brollys worst trait is making a fairly brash insulting statement about a player or county to stir debate/make noise. Plenty of pundits try it but brolly and Spillane are the kings of it. It's the same in rtes other sports broadcasts dunphy and hook and the like

Ah it's my favourite book I think there is lessons there for us to learn about how the game works and to be fair the public love the underdog. Plenty of sensitive people in mayo and every other county

Bad news sells this day and age, unfortunately. Brolly can rant better than most and the odd time can be amusing, but he's best ignored. But Kieran Donaghy's response when he won in 2014 was sweet!

Replying To CeachtPeile:  "What a pathetic partitionist attitude - the Royal is all too appropriate in your username. After what the south did to northern nationalists by abandoning them to unionist domination, the very least that could be done is to ensure that fellow Irish citizens have full access to Irish media without any infantile quibbles about payment.
Then again when you think of the disgraceful Section 31 censorship mentality that permeated RTÉ for so long (and there are still elements of it there - do step forward, Tommie Gorman) they weren't missing much in the North in terms of balanced coverage."
He has quite a bit of form in that respect CP so don't get too hung up on it.

Thankfully he's in the minority on here.
