New Tyrone Chairperson.

(Oldest Posts First)

Congratulations to the new Tyrone county Chairperson Michael Kerr who was elected the 1st hurling club { only5 clubs in Tyrone } again another stalwart who has put the hours in through different county positions and again former chair of the Tyrone CCC so is well aware of the fixtures issues although the previous 2 chairs also were the same. Hopefully Michael can get a decent shot at being an impartial chair and isn't undermined from the off as the previous chair was. Sad to hear inher address that some within Tyrone gaa would try to undermine her position through Chinese whispers or spurious leaks to selected media outlets purporting to be team panel members { she may have been the chair but the county management committee make decisions for the betterment of tyrone gaa on the whole but unfortunately from day 1 her position was being eroded whether by someone with a personal grudge, a dislike of a female in the top position, a dislike of someone from the east side of the county, or someone acting on behalf of another with or without consent. A shame really as she seemed to be doing a good impartial job though some seemed to not believe in that. Looks like this one will run for a while, no matter what way you look at it, all previous male holders saw out the maximum term before being followed by the assistant chair. Any how lets hope Michael can bring a bit of harmony to the county and sort out some of the negativity generated in the last few months.

I have no wish to get involved in Tyrone's domestic problems but It's a pity that it didn't work out for her and the the county board.
