Heard rumours that Liam Higgins was taking over Gortletteragh not sure if it's true or not. Sean Pearson who won a championship with Aughawillan is taking the Allen Gaels job. That's all I've heard

I'd expect Aughavas to have a very good year this year considering they got such a successful manager in Colin Hannify. He worked wonders with Carrigallen and Ballinamore. No doubt win Div3 and give intermediate a good rattle.

Martin McGowan along with Joe Reynolds are taking over Eslin.
Gary McCloskey and Morgan Shanley are managing Bornacoola.
Biggest surprise is Kevin Nolan taking over newly promoted Ballinaglera.

Just three clubs blank. Can someone fill them in please just interesting to see how many managers are from our own county?

So Allen Gaels have a Cavan manager , Aughnasheelin have a Roscommon manager, Aughawillan have a Longford manager, Mohill have a management team from Mayo and Longford, Glencar have a Donegal man and Melvin Gaels have a Bundoran man. Anyone else noticing a pattern?
Now I do not doubt any of their credentials as Sean Pierson who is with Allen Gaels has won a championship with Aughawillan, The McCormacks over the Willies have won championships with atleast three clubs, Frank Browne who's with Mohill has done well with Mayo ladies, Billy Gavigan who is with Melvin has won Inter and Senior championship with Melvin before and with Bundoran along with having success in Boston, Shane Ward now over Manor is a brilliant technical coach who will have gained great experience from his time with Leitrim which came far too early for him and many are even touting David Casey over Aughnasheelin for Roscommon or Leitrim jobs in the future. But why is it that the only other contenders in the championship, Ballinamore, are the only ones with a native manager (Paul Prior). I know James Glancy is doing fantastic work at the moment with coaching seminars for future managers but surely the likes of Aidan Rooney, Gary Donohoe, and George Dugdale etc. are not going for or getting jobs in our own county? Surely, it is not sustainable for relatively small clubs to continue to pay vast amounts of money for outsiders? One thing is for sure the standards in this year's championship should be very good.
