I'm sure Moorefield wouldn't mind if the Leinster final was played after Christmas. Leinster Council should hold off for a few weeks. They also need a floodlit ground given the possibility of extra time. That was the reason given for not fixing it for Tullamore. David Whelan didn't start the Simonstown game because of injury and full back Shane Flynn hasn't played since being sent off in the county final. You are of course right. However at 4pm today in Navan it was crystal clear day. Match could easily have been played without lights. In any event, best of luck to both teams. I don't know much about Moore field. I know plenty about lomans and tbh I can't see them been beat. I said before game simonstown wouldn't win no matter how much I wanted them too, I'd like to think that moorefield can win but I just don't see it. But not with the Portlaoise player on the homepage where he argues that Leinster Council should have an alternative venue in place for yesterday's final. To be fair to moorefield they have gotten this far without 3 county men in adam tyrell ryan houlihan and ciaran kelly. There not many clubs who could achieve that. In 2002 the Leinster Senior club final was in Navan between Mattock Rangers from Louth and Dunshaughlin from Meath.
