Castlebar Mitchels v Corofin

Replying To galwayfan:  "Can anyone tell me why did the Tuam Stadium stewards stop the Castlebar Mitchells team from entering the field through the main gate at the pitch, telling them they had to jump the wall beside the gate?? A minute later they open the gates for the Corofin panel. Seems ridiculous and very bad sportmanship from the galway lads."
I posted a new thread about it. Disgrace.

Replying To Toney:  "Corofin's great use of their strong squad saw them over the line again. The likes of Daithi Burke, Justin Burke and Dylan McHugh are worthy starters. Liam Silke is developing into a top player. He could play anywhere and Micheal Lundy played brilliantly just 10 days after an appendix operation."
Silke was good. I remember him as an U21 a few years ago doing a brilliant man marking job on Diarmuid Connolly.

Enjoyed the game which I thought was excellent given the conditions.

I thought it was brutal not the players fault but the pitch just didn't allow for any flow to it at all, the only reason we find it any way exciting is cause we know how big a competition it is and how much is at stake for both clubs imo. Put the same teams on in the middle of the summer and it would be a classic no doubt.

Not many club teams able to spring an All Ireland winning, All Star from the bench! Albeit honours won in a different sport!
