So your response to a dissenting point of view is to tell to stay at home. Your delusion on here about our state of affairs is an embarassment at times. RoyalBadger (Meath) - Posts: 571 - 17/11/2017 17:40:29 2062909 Link 1 |
How? He was given time to get over his injury and wasn't thrown into the starting 15 like he was previous years

I get the feeling if Meath had a good year,that some here would genuinely disappointed. ziggy320001 (Meath) - Posts: 2432 - 17/11/2017 19:02:07 2062917 Link 2 |
But thats not grounded in reality though. No Meath fan would be disappointed in a good year for heaven sake.

Newman won't be around in 2018 I'm afraid...Ben Brennan who's in there at the moment could be an option! Meathmaster (Meath) - Posts: 251 - 18/11/2017 12:09:22 2062955 Link 0 |
Is Newman that big of loss to ye? Was exceptional first year. And free taking top drawer, but since injury has never been the same. joeblogs10 (Dublin) - Posts: 104 - 18/11/2017 20:21:09 2062971 Link 2 |

3 Friendlies played in the last week, anyone know who played? New faces? TakeYourPoints6 (Meath) - Posts: 229 - 08/12/2017 16:41:36 2064676 Link 0 |
We need several new players no doubt. To me that would not be the full story. The 2nd requirement is a serious look at training and coaching in particular. Makes no sense to say we have 5 or 6 sessions a week training.. For the last number of years i wonder what does happen during these sessions.....just wondering. Why does it appear our lads are mentally fragile when the chips are down for example......just wondering. What time is spend during training on mental preparation and toughness?....just wondering. Indeed just wondering about the quality of training as well as quantity. Not having a go at ANDY at all ,as this key missing ingredient of mentaly toughness and attitude is missing for several years before he took the reins....I was priviliged enough to be present for many sessions under Sean Boylan. That side of preparation was dealt with in full.....Players always seemed free of fear....Forwards in particular always available for a pass. as an example..Workrate was never an issue. Of cousre everything wasnt honky dorey mistakes were made but mental toughness aqnd pride in the jersey was essential. No disrespect to ANDY who will do his best no doubt. He has a massive task ahead which is only beginning when he finds a few more players

He is a least as good as any of the forwards and better than some of them.

David Gallagher back in as a goalkeeper I heard over the weekend. Back to the future is seems. Blackspot09 (Meath) - Posts: 869 - 11/12/2017 13:39:47 2064835 Link 0 |
That's not a bad shout actually. Still has lot to offer and obviously management don't fancy the existing gks in Meath championship. None of them are truly outstanding in any case in my opinion. But if going back for likes of Gallagher, I hope Niall McLoughlin, Davy Dalton and David Larkin are also being looked at again, if available. Would love to see Shane O Rourke involved too but only if management deal with him as special case and leave him with his club until championship in the summer.
