Gone are the heated arguments and mud slinging for another year, gone is the outrage and bluster.. jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 12/10/2017 22:45:32 2054952 Link 7 |

Semi-final of the Dublin championship thanks very much on the 14th Oct!! with every chance of going all the way this year Although I'm not an active member anymore, it'll always be my club and I still and always will support them when I can.. more going on than hanging around the club all week long I just mean the inter county banter as for all the club chest sticking out antics there's never much made of the championships on here, certainly compared to the leagues and IC Championships. jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 13/10/2017 13:31:31 2055047 Link 5 |

This forum is not the worst ( good posters in general)but we see some outrageous character and personnel attacks on amateur players. After the hurling All- Ireland there were posting about a young player that crossed the line. It should not require a moderator to control this. There should be a code of ethics that posters aspire to and that does not need to curtail good intellectual debate about games. There will always be some controversies about decisions made but the debate should stay civil discussing the facts, giving an opinion and taking one. God forbid if a player, referee or official is dealing with some form of stress and social media sends them over the edge. This forum can improve its game in this respect as a few issues got out of hand this year. Not trying to muffle anyone but how about a bit of self restrain and consider what you would say to the persons faces. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 2655 - 13/10/2017 17:41:39 2055104 Link 2 |

Yeah hoping to get up to PP later on. Shaping up to be a Mun/Vinnies final but I think both games could be good today. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13705 - 14/10/2017 09:16:31 2055203 Link 0 |
A good day out.. pity about all the sending offs But thankfully that was a comfortable Kickhams win only for a late goal ton out a wee bit of respect to it Paddy Small :) Another five from play... from the smaller Small And so the final we all wanted to see is on the way. Hopefully Kickhams can maintain the football they've played to date and win it!! But Paddy Small is on his way boys and girls.. he's every bit as good as Con, very close if not his equal. Hopefully an exciting year ahead for him but might be tied up with Kickhams for a while yet! Fingers crossed. If Kickhams can get by Vinnies then the sky is the limit. They have it all but a lot of game time to be played. But a pleasure to watch PS today (again) jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 14/10/2017 21:32:55 2055287 Link 1 |
The 2 Smalls going off injured though is surely a bit of a worry. What's the prognosis?

I'm an eternal optimist.. Little hope so I'm told for by P But a little more positive for J (but not much) Goes without saying - massive blow Gutted if I'm honest Paddy Small for me was the player of the championship so far.. jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 15/10/2017 12:03:05 2055341 Link 1 |
