Make no mistake - "the mountain men from Derry" can hurl a bit too! The tactics aren't based around going out to hack and thump their way to victory

Yes they can hurl, there's no doubting that, but they'll not want an open shoot out. They'll want it tight and a grind all the way through.

Shock on the cards? Slaughtneil have played magnificently so far with brilliant intensity but let's see can they keep it up in the second half.

Slaughtneil appear to be experts in the Dark Arts...hit a na piarsaigh lad and if they retaliate drop to the ground as if shot...sad stuff

Slaughtneil giving a masterclass in how to throw away a lead. It started with not coming out on time for the second half. All they had to do was keep hurling like they did in the first half. Conceding stupid frees & really poor wides. They've totally blown a fantastic chance to get to an All-Ireland Final.

Have Slaughtneil any decent hurlers?

Lacking in forwards. Exciting game to watch. Na Piarsaigh are an incredible team.

Nap would have had a reputation for being a bit soft in Limerick over the years, not any more ..what character they've shown there. Losing 2 men in 5mins but winning like that.
. Incredible team they've turned into these last few years.

Cuala were by far the better team. The Mellows forwards made no impact. Has the makings of a cracking final.

Great to see N.a. Piarsaigh win. It was obvious that the Northerners would goad and test their mental fortitude. This worked to an extent. I think southern teams go soft when playing northern hurling teams..its like a condesending apathy.

A strange analysis not supported by the match stats. Neither free count nor cards issued.
