If Mayo ever win -provided it's not against Dublin - I'm pulling a sickie for a week, borrowing 2K euro and heading straight to the west.

I can only imagine the crack in Clare in '95 or Wexford '96.
Doubt business was booming anywhere other than the bars around both counties for quiet a while. Football wise I'd imagine the '92 Donegal outfit had a bit of a hooley too.

Was on the hill in 2002 when Armagh put on a brilliant performance in the second half to beat Kerry in the final. I don't think I've ever seen such jubilation before or since.

I had the week off work this year...very depressing week when you loose but I drank anyway. Can only imagine if we ever win one. Hope I'm alive to see it

I've a feeling your day is coming soon Yew tree. As I said, if it's not be the Dubs then I really hope its Mayo. Some team and incredible character.

Weren't Meath the bookies favourites going into the 1996 final?

Id say Dublin City would lift off the ground and fly into the stratosphere the night of a mayo win!

Talking about how i felt i guess, Nobody thought we would beat Dublin in the leinster final,it was "lambs to the slaughter " one newspaper headline suggested before the the leinster final!

Then we played Tyrone in the all Ireland semi final who were a lot of peoples favorites for the all Ireland that year including Dublin !

I don't know i don't gamble ,but mayo should have won both games so for me it was a great celebration to get out of jail twice and to win it in the closing stages with Brendan Reilly point...

it wasn't really expected if i am honest to win the All ireland that year...so yeah happy days

We were 33/1 at beginning of championship, many thought (including some bookies) that Carlow would win first day out, massive underdog v Dublin in Leinster who were reigning all ire champs with the likes of jayo etc Meath weren't given a hope , also massive underdog v Tyrone (who along with Dublin were fav to win out at start of year) v mayo it depended on what bookie you went to as to who was fav from what I recall
