Replying To KingdomBoy1:  "Dublin have the population of a province and the finances of a province therefore does it not make more since for them to have more than one team?

As was said on the podcast the other night , the GAA can't keep giving the weaker counties less money and expect them to compete with dublin ."
Kerry have 37 all Irelands , have dominated at all levels including 4 in a row minors
would it not make sense and split Kerry in 2 ?

They are an exceptional team ! but it also shows Dublin like every team are beatable.
No team is unbeatable."
Remind me again - how many minutes did Dublin lead for? Dublin may be the better team over the year, but they were far from the better team on the day. If you need an outbreak of synchronised wrestling to win, you're not nearly as good as you think you are.

Be careful what you wish for, as Joe Brolly is also suggesting for Kerry to be split.

Replying To MesAmis:  "The reality is that if the county was split the massive amount of players and supporters would walk away. We'd win sweet FA.

Which I believe is why some people would like to see a split."
why do you think players would walk away?..a lot of supporters who are more into the brand would i agree there

think were miles off a spilt in fairness and wouldnt agree with it at all myself..just find your point small bit odd is all

What matters is who puts up the highest score In the 70+ minutes. as for Dublin are a " good team "
5 All Irelands in 7 years would suggest an excellent team .

As someone one who wanted Mayo to win ( well done Dublin) - I don't want Dublin split - madness suggestion,
Sure lets split Kerry too, or why not spilt Kilkenny, - sure while we are at it isn't Cork the biggest county , sure we will spilt them two...... now Donegal is a big county and Tyrone are far to successful in Ulster we will split them as well, sure Mayo get to tooooooo many All-Ireland semi- finals lets spit them them.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem is finance - but this is a very complicated issue.... if the Dublin Co B receive money its theirs from sponsorship, but we need to look at the gov grants etc so they are shared more equatably

With Mes , I'd walk I have been going to games for 40 years following one team to suddenly start supporting a new version 50% not opposed to entering a second team as it would increase participation but that's different to a split

If you enter 2 Dublin teams they would both be division one material yes? This would push another county out of this division, but it might be a solution to the "Dublin issue". Wise patrons said years ago that the championship should be "open draw knockout". Dublin go to Castlebar or Cork or wherever the draw sends them. Best 2 teams left standing. August Final. BTW RTE need new panelists also.

not sure a second team would work either...just dont see people giving them the same support and they are always going to be seen as second rate
