Tyrone breaking from parade

Replying To MissDownFanatic:  "Seanieboy sure you've plenty of time on your hands now ;). Have to say I cringed for Tyrone when they did that, made them look like they were afraid of the Dubs/hill, disrespected the GAA, and tbh made eejits of themselves. Should've concentrated more on their football. Granted other teams have broke off before the full parade but Tyrone doing it as an attempt, albeit unsuccessful, to make a point."
"Disrespected the GAA".... jesus christ give me a break.

How would you even know that this was Tyrone trying to make a point? They walked two thirds of the pitch behind the band and probably just got anxious to into a huddle, get another stretch and get the game started. This happens every week. As another poster said Donegal do this every game and nothing is said about it. Its a non-story.

Replying To 2setsofrules:  "So let me get this correct- other teams have done it (acceptable), but when Tyrone do it they are making a point. Your father (Topdownfan) and yourself seem to spend a worrying amount of time thinking about a county that you dislike."
Maybe if you read my few previous posts you will see I had respect for the way Tyrone where playing this year , if I remember I was one of the first posters on here saying about how well they played again Down in the ulster final , I was just saying I thought it was disrespectful breaking away so soon in parade , everyone is entitled to an opinion , so 2 sets of rules do me a favour and crawl back into the hole you have appeared out off

Begrudging respect forced from you because a number of posters have alluded to your frequent anti Tyrone ramblings regardless of the topic being discussed.

Teams have been doing this forever!
Its a complete non-issue
No disrespect was intended or taken"
Absolutely, been a regular sight.

Didn't bother me in the slightest, in fact we have done it, maybe not quite as early but we did it. The GAA need to make a stance on this, either scrap the parade or enforce that teams see it through, otherwise it just doesn't look right.

I think Meath did it once many moons ago. It was Lyons idea. Boylan went crazy as he wasn't told about it before hand. Now the only difference was Meath players ran between dubs which totally got them going. I believe no one in the history of the game got as much abuse as graham geraghty got. He always did the parade, and at the time it was common place to stand in your position while anthem was played. GG would go over to Sean or one of the lads rather than go into position, I asked him why once and he said he didn't want to be sent off before game started as he'd get a dig after guy getting egged on by hill crowd. He would then sprint to position and take the lad to the cleaners.

Replying To benched:  "I think they have enough to worry about and get right never mind parade protocols. If you message is any indication of what concerns the thoughts of the Westmeath set up it's little wonder that they were playing in Division 4 back in the spring"
Westmeath were playing in Division 4 this spring as a result of their level of performance over the last number of years in the league!

As for breaking early to finish their pre-match warm-up! I had a look at this earlier and they just went to the 45 yards line and prepared for the National Anthem!

Well, at least Tyrone took the initiative - which was more than they did during the actual game!

Replying To waynoI:  "They did it to try and rile Dublin, provoke a reaction, which, if Tyrone know absolutely anything about this Dublin team, they would know that psychologically, They wont let nonsense like that take their minds off the job that has to be done, our resulting annihilation and demolition job shows that."
You take gloating and annoyance to a new level.

Seriously!! You seem to think you know me well, no one forced me to respect Tyrone on any posts ,,, as I said before crawl back into the hole you come out of now and again , just for the record as I have told many people , Tyrone are still miles ahead of teams in Ulster

Crawling out of a hole- the irony. Missdownlunatic and yourself only appear on this forum to offer your pathetic contributions about one county- Tyrone. We get it- you don't like Tyrone, but you clearly have a very unhealthy infatuation with them. Starting threads about a non event and penning cringe worthy and headache inducing songs (check out Missdownfanatic on YouTube) highlighting your dislike of Tyrone- it's embarrassing! Mrs Topdownfan should really have a good chat with both of you.

It was disrespectful to not only the Dublin fans but to the members of the band. As a former member of the Artane boys band I felt insulted and as an admirer of Mickie Harte and his Tyrone teams of recent past I was doubly disappointed. Sad times ahead if the parade is done away with. Great hurlers and footballers have visited Artane and thanked the band. What happened last Sunday would make the Rackers, Heffernans, Rings, Foley's and Doyle's sick.

For some reason I feel you are wrong and that they wouldn't care.

Look they didn't break any rules they felt it was the right thing to do at the time , it back fired a little , could have been a bit off the cuff or premeditated, either way don't think it has set a trend

its a cringe worthy tradition of making players walk behind a band that plays the same tune everytime. do people really want to see what a player looks like , personally I think it's a nonsense and would do away with it. As for the post its also ridiculous as it only looks like trying something to get at tyrone. the team were crap, outplayed, outclassed and will win nothing if they don't evolve but seriously is it even worth starting a thread on

As I said everyone is untitled to their opinion, including Miss Down ! Don't have a problem with Tyrone when they play football instead of the years of diving thankfully they have moved on from that and are probably the 2nd best team in Ireland at the minute,,,

so you've resurfaced with your anti tyrone rants, do tyrone really get to you that much?

Watch the drawn game of the first semi final. Exact same thing happened.

Mayo will struggle big time if dubs are allowed play at pace on a dry day."
which side you warm up on is decided before you leave the changing room and is usually dictated by which changing room is allocated to which team
