All-Ireland club champions --> early county exit

(Oldest Posts First)

What's the earliest exit that All-Ireland club football/hurling/camogie champions have suffered from their county championship the following season? (e.g. imagine if Dr Croke's had gone out of the Kerry championship in Round 1 (they're currently in the quarter-finals).)

I suppose it depends on the club rules on county players and how successful the county is - I presume this team has a lot of county men do they?

Not sure how many county men Dr Crokes have, to be honest

St. Thomas' also struggled to qualify from their group after winning the 2013 all-Ireland - can't remember if they made it. I think that was the year that themselves, Portumna and Clarenbridge ended up in the same group - all 3 had very recently won the all-Ireland. Kiltormer were relegated to intermediate just a few years after winning the 1992 all-Ireland.

club championship should be finished in calender year.give players a break in mid-winter.
play final in november.move the whole calender forward by at least a month.
play all provincial quarter finals the one weekend.compress the calender entirely.
