Replying To Laois76:  "I don't know Tom. They were the best teams of their time. Great teams. But 10 years is a long time in terms of scientific development, strategic development etc. If the 3 teams you mention were on a par skill wise, Dublin (or Mayo) of 2017 are stronger, better stamina, better use made of the subs bench etc."
Maybe maybe but kerry had the 3 osheas cooper moynahan
Tyrone had canavan gormley jordan cavanagh o neil mulligan mcguigan.
These are as good a players as dublin have now it is a pity that dublin didnt have thst team back then.

Morgan
Enright McNamee McCarron
T McCann Keegan Colm Boyle
C Cavanagh A O Sea
Buckley C O'Connor O'Donaghoue
A Moran Donaghy J Clarke

Thats one hard team to pick!!! Obviously thing Tyone Kerry and Mayo would have pick of the crop with Jamie Clarke an honorable mention cause I think he's pure class but leaving out the likes of McManus, some Kildare contingent and other QF from Roscommon.

Colm Cavanagh I think if he doesn't win an all-star this year he probably wont ever, even in today's game when we got destroyed by what I think is the best team in GAA of all time he still came out as Tyrone's best player and tried to drive the team forward no matter what. Only player that could push to make that Dublin team.

Obvoiusy a few makeshift positions with Cillian and O'Donaghoue in the HF line just so Clarke and Andy Moran can make the Full forward line with Donaghy. Half back line its impossible to leave Keegan and Boyle out after Saturdays performances. Tom Parsons another possibility and shift O'Shea up to Half forward."
O Donoghue couldn't even get on a poor Kerry team ffs.

They are fine players but you definitely threw in a few of your own ;) Like most of us and i'd throw in Laois' 2 best players Donie Kingston in the forwards and Stephen Attride in the backs.

In my view Donie would be every bit as good as Donaghy and at 27 in his peak but to most other people he's a good full forward playing with a division 4 team who get knocked out in July!
