Kerry must be getting slightly nervous!

Replying To IrishGael3:  "Agree Dubs great team but stop the sanctimonious rubbish - as much as Tyrone had 15 men in their own half when Dubs attacked - the same was exactly the case when Tyrone attacked even when game was in its infancy- I have pictures to prove it - so let's not keep pretending that Dubs play differently from everyone else - the difference is the are a professional setup with a great pick riding the fantastic wave they find themselves on now!"
You've missed my point, by a mile. I said 15 men behind the ball WHEN 7 POINTS DOWN. Again no plan B. Tyrone should have pressed Dublin high up the pitch but the blanket seems to be in their DNA. Gavin completelyoutfoxed Harte yesterday. Tyrone need to adapt their style to suit circumstances.

Replying To Laois76:  "Look another way of looking at this is if Dublin have a 2012, 2014 or 2016 (especially 2012 and 2016) flat type of season they can easily be beaten.

The trick is to catch them on even years! All their all-irelands since 1976, bar 2016 when they were lucky enough, were on odd years. 1977, 1983, 1995, 2011, 2013, 2015! Crumbs of comfort.."
Not sure what was lucky about 2016. We won it fair and square as I recall.

Forget Drive for Five there's a real possibility Dublin could knock Kerry off their perch (Man Utd-Liverpool style) given enough time.

Ok i'll rephrase. It was won fair and square but Dublin were much more beatable than in 2015 for example. Playing better this year too.

Why stop at 5? Tyrone learned exactly where they're at yesterday. Kerry will need to overhaul their defence and find the right blend of experience to transition their younger talents. The best of these could also go south and a good minor is just raw material, with senior football a different set of demands. That's likely to be a 2 year job. My own county is year to year and our demise is an annual prediction. The Dubs have the wind behind them, especially if they land Sam again this year. Super 8 system will work even more in their favour, with all their logistical advantages enabling them to sustain a long performance plateau, plus the panel is now massive with options for every position. The only hope we have is that they can only put 15 on the pitch at any given time, plus rabid hunger is a hard thing to sustain and to counter when confronted with it. Straws of hope maybe...

I'd agree with that. 2016 was a more worklike win and they've definitely improved this year. Adding the few younger lads to the panel has given the more seasoned players a bit of extra pep. Although Mayo will argue that they are better than last year at this stage too.

With Dublin's thrashing of Tyrone it is 100% guaranteed that the next year's super 8 will be a farce, it will be renamed flop 8. Dublin will walk through in 1 group without breaking sweat, the semi will also be a cake walk and the final may throw up a game but the result will be the same, Kerry and Donegal will be rebuilding, Mayo will be slowing down, Tyrone aren't up to scratch yet and will take a few years so Dublin could easily win 4 5 6 in a row, who will stop them, the skies the limit for Dublin

We thought that before we played Donegal a few ago and looked what happened...

Egg on many Dublin fans faces...

We wont ever fall into that trap again and count any chickens...
Mayo wont be underestimated, in fact it will re-focus an already focussed Dublin squad.
We know what to expect and will have learned a lot more from what we saw them display v Kerry twice in a week.

I for one think the Keegan v Connolly wont happen this year... there will be new one on ones...

Speed is the key and this year we have more than last year for sure....

Gonna be some game...

The amazing thing about Dublin is they are in constant transition. From the 2011 team they will have probably 4 starters in 2017. 9 from the 2013 final, 10 from the 15 final and 9 from last year's drawn final team (only 2 of the same forwards).
You have to have a serious panel but Jim Gavin deserves huge credit for keeping these lads hungry. With the exception of Cluxton and maybe Fenton and KK, I can't think of any other player who hasn't been rested or dropped at some point in the last two seasons. The likes of John Small has cemented his place in the team the last two years and is one of their most important players at this stage. Paul Flynn looks back near his best but can't get a proper look in for a starting role. Barely anyone is talking about Kevin Mc anymore and yet he is as effective as ever, as is Brogan. He brings on the likes of Scully and McNulty the last day who are players no one outside Dublin would know much about and leaves experience on the bench. McCauley, Bastick and Costello have almost disappeared for one reason or another and no body mentions them!
The one glimmer of hope for other teams is that they have no back up goalkeeper with any experience. But that's a fairly small glimmer in reality!!
They're a machine at the minute!

I think your spot on riverboys.

No one will get close to them for a couple of years until the Kerry minor teams mature.

So they could easily break the record and win 5/6 in a row

How many could the dubs win in a row. i said 5 on this thread when they had 2.
7 or 8 in a row might be in the scope of these lads
