Replying To panamasam:  "I would argue with the natural decline bit. It was injuries not decline in big Neil's case but a massive player for Donegal. I also think Christy Toye has been a big loss this year too."
But shur injuries are often part of natural decline, the older we get the more we get of them as we're less flexible etc. That's the way i'm going anyway.. not comparing myself to Neilly in any other way!!

Amazing commitment to Donegal. He even kept encouraging McGuinness to apply for the senior job after being knocked back once or twice by the county board.

I don't see the point of putting Murphy into Full Forward if you can't get the ball into him there. That's what he's doing out the field, getting it to McBrearty. Mac Nailhis is a big loss for Donegal, will he be back next year?

Tomsmith here

I say that a man that won an allstar away back in 1975 is far to old to manage a football team. What would be have in common with young players. If players on the team bus were talking about snap chat, Twitter, facebook ect sure he may feel left out. Say players started to talk about Miley Cyrus, Rhiana or other young singers he may be lost . He comes from the Gene steward, Ian Corrigan or Big Tom Mc Bride era.

Good man Tom!

That's the funniest post i've read on here in a while!

I suppose Micko Dwyer was 75/76 in his last years with Wicklow and Clare but found something to talk to them about other than Beyonce :)

You have this all wrong tomsmith, being a true Donegal man he listens to nothing but Daniel. You need to get your facts right otherwise we cannot take your comments seriously lol.

Green and Gold

Tomsmith here

naw green and Gold he would have passed through Cavan on his way up to games in Dublin ( and when he collected his all star) and Cavan is and was the home of the Mighty Avons showband. That you say wee Daniel would be his icon may not be correct as Margo is a bit more of Bryans time of day

Well I am tauld that the smart money now is on a Patrick Kerr a man from between the waters away up in Fanad and who left to work over in County Louth where he is a Teacher. He currently manages a team away up in Dublin called Ballymun Kickams and I understand that he is very keen on the Donegal job with a Deccie Bonnar a close third behind kerr and Mc Eniff

Can't see a Fanadian getting it - whilst Fermanagh men / Derry men have been acceptable to the powers that be - I think fanad might be a stretch - The parish is renowned for rebel politicians, lighthouses, rallying and a glorious FAI cup run in the 1980's but is not a GAA hotbed
Also residents are perceived as being a bit mad / it's sort of like Denn

Worth noting that the following all happened inside last few days

1) Banty steps down from Wexford
2) Corduff enterprises (mcenany family hospitality business ) complete purchase of Vodoo nightclub in leterkenny
3) Banty throws hat in ring for Donegal job

Can't believe we would appoint Banty as manger, has achieved nothing in the past 10 years. He was terrible with Meath and Wexford were a disaster in the championship this year. He did well with Monaghan back in the day but didn't actually win anything.

What must ye think of Tory Islanders if that's how ye view Fanad people?!!! My grandmother was from Fanad so that must be where the madness originated!
