Austin Gleeson, one of the greatest but what was he at?

He's a lucky lucky man, the offence was clear. I'm getting pretty sick of all this "oh it would be a shame to miss out" malarkey, are we supposed to ignore the rulebook for certain players?? If you do something wrong and are caught then you deserve the penalty irregardless of your ability or standing in the game, he knew the risk attached to what he was doing and is very lucky to be lining out in an All Ireland Final

First of all it's you're not your. Secondly, what are you on about? I'm not trying to make pen pals on here. I'm giving my opinions. And lastly, I hope you appreciate the irony of asking someone how they feel about being ignored by engaging with them.

He's a very lucky man to be playing in the final

But I guess when there's not a self serving witch hunt purposely aimed in a players direction

This what can happen

Replying To Canuck:  "You are correct and as of tonight proved correct. All the debate about if Tuohy or A. Gleeson was different is a mute point. As a Waterford supporter I feel more sorry for Conor and Tuohy 9if suspended)than I would have for Austin. Conor just had a hurley driven into him by a player who knew the game was up and retaliated by swing one handed on the legs. In all honesty hoe does that measure up with the belt in the testicles to Moran or the kick given to Barron ? Conor will not be cleared but there was two aggressors in this instance with him retaliating. How would all the hurlers on the ditch react ?
Kudoos for not head hunting like some of your county men on here."
He got the hurl driven into him after he struck Horgan, no?

Actually no. It could be construed as cynical. Conor had Linnane in his pocket all day and the game was out of reach, so retribution taken. He is not a stupid young man and did a compulsive reaction that he is going to pay for. Again the fairness comes into it. The instigator will miss a league game next winter. The retaliator will miss may be the only chance he will ever get to play in a final. In actual fact the instigator gets away because it was Kingston that hit Conor if you play it back and review it a few times.
However it is what it is. You win some and lose some but hopefully it all balances out. Hope there are zero controversies in the final. Up the Deise and if that is not what the gods want. "Up the Tribe's Men".

What are you on? Pat Horgan is the only one who has been unfairly treated here. He did not commit a red card offence. Conor Gleeson did with a petulant swing across Horgan's knee. Kingston should also have been carded. The indiscipline of the 2 Gleesons was incredible in the context of the occasion and the likely consequences which have come to pass for one of them.
