Dublin vs Monaghan

McCarthy over carries ref gives a free in. They are already 6-1. I can understand refs being week and unable to ref a match involving Dublin fairly but do they not see they are killing a contest in front of 82,000 people.

Again ref gives a ridiculous free to dublin when monaghan get a rare attack. Cooper hits mcmanus late and takes a dive. Should have been play on for monaghan and a black card for Cooper. Instead free Dublin and yellow mcmanus.

5mins later Dean rock fairly challenged and ref straight away raises the hand for advantage and pulls it back for an easy free. Seriously this is a farce. It's shocking how Dublin have every aspect of the gaa wrapped around their finger.

My God football is shocking lately , absolutely rubbish in Croke Park today, no excitement no entertainment, game is dying a death . Super 8's , super Dubs more like,

Replying To Jack_Goff:  "As usual the ref giving Dublin everything. It's hard enough for teams like mayo and Kildare to beat them as it is but it's nearly impossible when this is going on.

Long ball into mcmanus. He's fouled. No free. Dublin go up and get given a free. The point is not only does he only apply the rules to one side, Dublin shouldn't even have had that attack. Should have been a free into monaghan and a badly needed score for them."
We were thinking of not entering this year and just buying the Sam instead of refs

Kerry and Tyrone (possibly Mayo if they win Monday) would not be afraid of Dubs so I wouldn't throw towel in like your team did in Leinster final! Come on man it's 15 against 15 - most teams are beaten before a game starts and looks like this today - very surprised at Monaghan though - they are much better than this.

Bad form from Jonny Cooper, it was almost as if he was trying to get the best player on the Monaghan team sent off...

Absolute bore feast. I have never heard Croke park so quite with so many present zero atmosphere zero excitement. Dublin just going through the motions. I was actually hopeful teams this year had closed the gap. But no dubs are even further ahead than they were. Worrying time for football, forget about the 3 in a row that's a cert I'd be more worried about 5/6 in a row without even breaking a sweat. Not Dublin fault, but by Jesus it's all getting very predictable.

Cooper at it again not the first time he's tried to get a player sent off.

You obviously didn't see the Leinster final.

The stands are now empty for the second half. I hope the gaa are proud of the end result of their little experiment.

Anyway sky looked back at the incident. First of all it was a bad to give Dublin the free. If anything the defender was fouling the monaghan player. Secondly Cooper came in late on mcmanus and his dive was very poor play. It's mind boggling how the ref continues to see these situations in Dublins favour.

You wanted Dublin to hammer Kildare but now you're saying you wanted to see teams closing the gap.

Monaghan a seasoned div 1 team made to look like a div 3 team but looking at Tyrone today they're certainly closing the gap.

Don't be saying that. There will be lads on here telling you everything is rosy in the garden and the game was never in better shape. Glad to say I haven't seen one minute of either game today and by all appearances I've had a lucky escape.

Look regardless of what you like to think Kildare are USELESS, I still don't no how you beat Meath, perhaps we are worse, it would seem so, but yes got hammered by Dublin who hardly got out of first gear then lost to a team who couldn't get out of division 3 and were destroyed by Tyrone, again Kildare like every other Leinster team are useless and big improvement has to be made by both counties and likes of Laois Westmeath to even come close to been competitive, like I said Carlow gave Dublin a better game than Kildare or Westmeath. You may not like that but it's a fact.

So Carlow and ourselves are probably best placed in Leinster to close the gap given recent results in Leinster. Would like to see the rest catch up a bit too though.

Perhaps??
Were you not at the games this year?? We beat Meath twice this year once by 9 point and once by 10 points. So if we're useless we can clearly state that Meath are WORSE THAN USELESS

Monaghan are a joke.

Happy to tap frees over rather than play ball and die with their boots on.
