Galway should take a leaf out of Micky Hartes and Tyrone's book. And say a Team Rosary before the match.

I honestly believe Galway can push Kerry in a big way if they're up for it, and they're gonna have to be on fire up front, because Geaney and JOD are a lethal double act and will more than likely produce.
But if the Tribesmen can bring the same application into that game, then you never know.
Kerry to win by 5 or 6, or maybe not? I'm going to go over and sit on that fence for a while!

The difference against donegal was our kick out's were long most of the time, and we Kicked long ball to our full forward line. Ian Burke take a bow, a great head. In short, we played the galway way. Same again against Kerry please. We'll score heavy against Kerry, but so will they as our full back line again struggled. Should be a cracker which I think we'll win as you get serious confidence and momentum from a result like that.

Delighted with last nights performance.

Kerry are a different animal however. But if we attack them with positive Galway style football we have an outside chance. Our fb line won't cope with Kerry ff line but if they can limit the damage and hope or forwards can go at Kerry there may be goals there.

Looking forward to this one, i think both back lines can be got at should be a bit a good open game.

The make up is a bit like the U21 semi, with Kerry experience you would expect them to win well, but Galway are clearly talented and you never really know what you are going to get from them on the day.

Galway are having a terrific year over all between the league and championship.

Kerry will win this match by 10 points. Galway beat possibly the worst Donegal team in years who threw in the towel after 20 mins. Galway were poor against Mayo and Rossies and will be found out next Sunday. Their full back line is porous and Geaney will have a field day against Kyne. Wouldn't rate their midfield either which is always crucial to win big games. Galway haven't won a championship game in Croker for 16 years and that will be playing on their minds too. Kerry will win this at a canter

Bit of humility wouldn't go astray.

I just don't rate this Galway team. They barely put away a Mayo team at home playing with 14 players for most of the game. Roscommon absolutely destroyed them at the back and they have nobody even close to Geaney or JOD. Donaghy will be put on the edge of the square and will create havoc. Galway are a poor team and it doesn't look good that they need Michael Meehan to come back after such a long time out. I stand by my 10 point win.

If Galway don't try to over think things and just play their normal attacking game they can win this one. If they try to concentrate on just stopping Kerry they'll come up short. Will this be a stand alone game on the Monday or part of a double header on Sunday ?

Some performance by Galway yesterday. There is talent in Galway. But they need more consistency. Before the Roscommon game I saw Galway as dark horses. And real contenders in the coming years. After the Roscommon I didon't know what to make of Galway.
But one thing they really need to improve is their record in Croke Park. I saw a stat at the weekend that was very surprising . Galway haven't won a championship match in Croke Park in 16 years since 2001. I think must people know that. But however between 1982 and 1998 another 16 years period Galway did not win a match in Croke Park. Of course in the glory years of of 98 to 2001 Galway won many times in Croker. But both sides of those 4 years of sucess Galways record is poor in hq. It's surprising. But hopefully with this result Galway will kick on. Their is potential. But they need to find the leaders they had in the late 90s eg Kevin Walsh Tomas Mannion Ja Fallon Sean Og De Paor Padraig Joyce and Michael Donnellan.

I got that stat wrong by 1 year between 1983 1984 and 1998 Galway did not win in Croke Park. They won in 1983 semi final v Donegal in Croke Park ,but there next win in Croker was v Derry in 1998. Sorry about that.

Do you know how many times Galway played in Croke park in them two 16 year periods?
