Football Top 10

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

So we are down to the last 4 and as expected the top 4 teams in the country have qualified for the final. Though the top 4 are well in front of the pack - here is my top 10 for what it is worth. I don't expect any further change to this top 10 this year.
1. Dublin
2. Kerry
3. Tyrone
4. Mayo
5. Monaghan
6. Armagh
7. Kildare
8. Roscommon
9. Galway
10. Cork

After the weekend of football I think everyone agrees (finally) that we now have the top 2 teams in the final. There was alot of hope for Kerry and Tyrone but there can be no doubt about the top 2 now. Will leave Dublin at No. 1 for now but that may possibly change on the 17th. Kerry look better than Tyrone who were very disappointing yesterday.

We gave the dubs there best test so far in championship albeit a 9 pt defeat isnt much to cheer about. Id love to see what would have happened if dan flynn had buried thst goal and made it a 2 point game with 20 left to play

Armagh probably need to drop a few spots. There's very little between 5-10 and even further down though. On the day most of those teams are capable of beating each other.

No doubt still about who the top 4 are. Monaghan and Galway very close together following on, then kildare, roscommon, armagh and donegal a bit further back
Down, meath ,cavan and cork a bit further back i'm afraid
1 Dublin
2 Mayo
3 Kerry
4 Tyrone
5 Monaghan
6 Galway
7 Donegal
8 kildare
9 Roscommon
10 Armagh

A lot of debate about the strongest province. If you take the rankings of the top 4 counties in each province, it follows that Ulster is still the strongest province followed by Connacht and Leinster very close together with Munster the weakest province

Sorry I can't agree with that Dublin had Kildare beaten within 20 mins then took their foot off the gas, it seems like Carlow gave them more trouble than anybody else, who can stop this juggernaut? Could be years before they are stopped/beaten

I'm going to be brave here and predict the final top 10 of 2017. At present no-one can argue that Mayo are best team in Ireland after the year they have had. Its up to Dublin to knock them off top spot Sunday which I have a feeling the won't. Maybe wishful thinking but time will tell.....

1. Mayo
2. Dublin
3. Kerry
4. Tyrone
5. Monaghan
6. Armagh
7. Kildare
8. Roscommon
9. Galway
10. Cork

Not sure if you're being fully serious. .

Being realistic, Dublin's 2nd team would lose to Mayo 10 times out of 10.

Would agree with you there mate.

Kildare were great against us and our toughest game this year in my opinion, played the game the right way to.
