Replying To MTS:  "Outnumbered 8 to 1 baaaahahaha."
Vie no axe to grind if it was the other way round Id call it , Galway were massively outnumbered unless they came wearing Yellow

Replying To hurlorhurley:  "They were not playing though and GAA consider this when always keeping Leinster football final well clear of concerts.

There was ample free seats for everyone yesterday Probably a days work in removing those barriers on hill alone so probably removed on Friday or Saturday i would imagine."
But that is not the point. The point is that they knew every Wexford and Galway man and woman (bar concessions) was a cash cow to be milked for 35 euro.
If the Leinster football final was 35 quid minimum entry it would not have 30k at it let alone 60k

There was easily 20,000 children on €5 tickets in Croke Park yesterday. I think your getting a bit excited to be honest.

It was not like the Leinster football finals of the mid 00's which were drawing over 80,000 a go.

his point is perfectly valid, there was absolutely no reason why the hill wasnt opened and give people the option of seeing the match for 15-20 quid.
it was pure gouging by the gaa.

There was a perfectly valid reason for not having the Hill open there is a concert there six days later and to accomadate the venue being ready pre work like removing barriers on Hill 16 had to be carried out. Hence Hill 16 was not open end of story.

you obviously never worked in construction, those yokes have 2-4 bolts, and a team would remove them in no time.

in unrelated news, can somebody from galway tell me are conor cooney and joe cooney related?i know joe is a son of joe's.

No direct relation, (unless perhaps distant cousins) Joseph is from Sarsfields and Conor is from St Thomas'

If stage assembly was to start on Monday morning which it was then prep work had to be done beforehand.
Could it have been done at 7pm last night?

Replying To endgame:  "Cork certainly are not raging hot favourites.I wouldn't be surprised if Clare beat them next Sunday.Galway look like the best hurling team in the country at the moment.However,All-Ireland senior hurling titles have never come easy for Galway and I don't expect this year to be any different.I really hope they do it and I think they will."
true, Clare could win Munster but I back Cork to push on and are my favorite (not the media) to be in Final. Also, they have a 6-0 record against Galway in Finals. Not getting ahead of myself anyway as the semi will be a massive battle and I hope Galway can improve for it.

we have no complaints in wexford, and well done to galway, the better team by far won.for the poster who said wexford are no better than offaly,i would strongly disagree.for the dublin poster who said wexfords style of hurling is terrible, well show us how it is done v tipp so,try to keep it to 10 point defeat.
i thought our support was absolutely outstanding yesterday, fair play every child in the county must have been in croke park.
hand on heart,we travelled in optomism and hope rather than confidence.galway are a better team than us at the moment.
the year has been an overwhelming success,i know it is not over but we have to target a leinster title in a few years.
for me,galway got their scores much easier than us.we need to sort out our free taker, conor mc seems burdened by it.our short passing game v kilkenny was replaced by an old school drive it down on top of galways half back line where galway completely dominated.
after the match,i didnt sense too much disappointment,at least we were competitive was the general mood, even though i think we never looked like winning the game.
could the penalty have changed things?i still think, there would only have been 1 winner.
hope we can regroup for a quarter final, there is more in this team and the future is bright."
Dublin also are playing a terrible brand of hurling at the moment. Dublin don't have to be perfect for me to be able to criticize Wexford.

Neither an actual place/town!

Sarsfields based around Bullaun just outside Loughrae

St Thomas's are based between Kilcreest and Castledaly - between Loughrae/Gort

Im very aware of where they are both from. i just though most people from outside Galway would be more familiar with Sarsfields as opposed to if I said Bullaun/New Inn. Same for St Thomas'

I was at the game too Damo, Galway were definetly outnumbered but still has decent support there. 2 to 1 in favour of WX in my opinion.
