Whats going on with the Mayo minors? Only for the weather last year Galway would have hammered them to go along with 2 hammerings this year and in 2015. TheWestIsAwake (UK) - Posts: 529 - 04/05/2017 15:35:59 1984500 Link 1 |
The answer maybe and Im only guessing is your neighbours seem to have woken up to reality and have their finger on the pulse , they are performing well across the board , it just may be something they are doing and not specifically a Mayo issue as such

management learnt nothing from dublin defeat, complete panic on the line, and alot of awful decisions. walsh was good against dublin at ff,then wasted in the 2nd half been brought out to midfield. what happens? same thing against laois. waste of a year and coyle has seriously under-achieved with this panel. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 06/05/2017 15:31:24 1984821 Link 1 |
Death and taxes are only guarantees in life congrats to Laois caught second half on radio Meath again could and possibly should have won it but there you go Damothedub (Dublin) - Posts: 5193 - 06/05/2017 15:32:16 1984822 Link 0 |

Hope this teaches my fellow county men to not hype up a bunch of teenagers. Much less a pretty average bunch. Disaster of a year at underage. Not a single win between 18's and 21's but what can you do. Hopefully LeitrimRoyal99 (Meath) - Posts: 1434 - 06/05/2017 17:08:13 1984839 Link 3 |
Ya can sing that, it's been faulty for a while now...

Ouch - that has gotta hurt..... Keep those bold predictions coming about Meath football... You cheer us all right up...! Time to take a leaf out of other Meath poster's book and use a bit of realism for a change... Too much pressure and expectations being put on meath footballers by some of their fans...! Well said - far too much expectations on meath footballers once again. Even the seniors are being hyped up out of all proportion. Leaves some posters looking very silly to say the least...! As for the minors today - well their management didn't help their cause... That Dublin comeback, as many predicted, shattered the Meath lads confidence but they were over hyped by some to begin with anyway... I see Wexford beat Wicklow today by 4 points. Wicklow gave Longford a game in the previous round when Wexford were hammered by Offaly. Good form boost for Offaly who I think could be dark horses for Leinster this year. Looked like a good side when I seen them against Westmeath certainly well organised with a good full forward line. panamasam (Australia) - Posts: 2771 - 06/05/2017 22:57:54 1984895 Link 1 |
Once again you miss the point. Lets just leave you in your own little world.... ;o) Lastly, as for apologising - no one ever asked you to. But the Constant over hype you put on your county teams is OTT to say the least. Embarrassing at times... ps "Laois unlike Dublin were actually a good side..." Well a poor side would not come back from such a deficit. But I wouldn't expect you to acknowledge that... Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 3684 - 07/05/2017 10:23:26 1984924 Link 3 |
Disappointing result for Meath yesterday, our second half collapses have been inexcusable in the last two games. Some poor decisions made on the sideline but fair play to both Dublin and Laois on their wins over us - no sour grapes on my behalf. There's no way that's a 'poor Dublin side', while they may not have the supreme talent of previous sides they will be hard beaten in this year's MFC. Great result for Carlow beating Westmeath beir_bua (Kildare) - Posts: 746 - 07/05/2017 13:36:35 1984957 Link 2 |
Indeed but conversely a very bad one for Westmeath. After seeing Westmeath close up against Offaly no real surprise.

Would a good side allow a team to build up such a lead and only for opponents totally changing in second half wouldn't have come back, again it wasn't a typical comeback it was Meath throwing away the game. That is fact.

Carlow played well against Kildare and didn't deserve to lose by 10 points. Peter McConnon is a good manager. I would not be surprised if they took another scalp or two.

Meath seniors let plenty of teams build up a lead before reeling them back in during their glory years under Boylan. Using your logic they were a poor team so?
