Meath look to be getting their sh*t together
If i had to urge one note of caution it would be that Graham Reilly (Smallie isnt it RD?) seems to be the fulcrum of everything. An injury or a black card to him and you'd wonder how ye would fare

I expect Kildare to win but it wouldnt be a shock atall if Meath do it

Will be some crack if Meath win playing brilliantly and we fall into the LF to face ye. Christ we could have a REAL Leinster final back all of a sudden!!"
biggy is important alright, but like most teams it is a lose to lose a top player or too. we did win some games in the league without him and put up huge scores with him not in the team.

We're still getting to quarters and semis though and now in div 1. Thats more important to this team than the number of leinsters and all irelands we have. Meath have more but did that deliver anything for them in last 10 years or does it guarantee future success?

no but the reality is kildare have not been that successful, doesn't mean they cannot be. but 2 leinsters since 56 is poor for a county who some consider to be a powerhouse as such. meath have been awful the last 16 years or so,but still more successful than kildare. just perspective thats all and mainly towards people outside of kildare.

also this kildare team has potential, but this particular side have not reached semi's or quarters(although that will change soon),not reached a leinster final since 09. they still have alot to prove.

Biggie is undoubtedly a massive player for us, our captain, a leader (as shown many times this year) but we have won when he was out due to club all ire final. (he destroyed lee Keegan in that game btw)
All that been said I dont think a repeat of the game v Westmeath should we lose him , (we collapsed and lost after been 8 up with him on team) would happen. I feel lenihane as really shown what he can do at last, O'Sullivan although having a quite game v Louth is a fantastic player, also McMahon is a real gem and has matured nicely, o'caoilean, and orielly are good youngsters to bring in. We are a extremely young team (take out por, burke and biggie and average age is 22) young jones looks fantastic in midfield (only19/20) toher from the hurlers has power and strength in abundance.
All in all while it would be a huge blow should biggie not be available, I feel we would still cope.

Good to be back in a Leinster final, exceeding any expectation that even the most optimistic of Kildare fans may have had at the start of the year on top of promotion.

This must be how the Dubs usually feel heading into an All Ireland quarter final without being challenged beforehand...

Part of me wants Kildare to beat Dublin because it would be great to see county starved of titles winning for once and it would mean meath aren't as far behind the top as we think.

But part of me wants Dublin to hammer them by 10 points because the more Dublin dominate the more chance of real change coming.
