Tyrone midfielder Colm Cavanagh says he's confident he'll be fully fit for their All-Ireland SFC semi-final clash with Dublin on August 27th.

Cavanagh was forced off in the late stages of the Ulster champions' comfortable quarter-final victory over Armagh last Saturday after shipping a heavy knock from opponent Brendan Donaghy.

Speaking to The Irish News, the Moy man said that he was able to do some light training this week and also revealed some friendly banter between himself and Peter Harte, who gave him the pass which put him in Donaghy's path.

"Petey said that was us even as I had given him the pass against Mayo in the 2013 semi-final when he had to go off after running into Tom Cunniffe," said Cavanagh.

"It was a ball that I had to go for, even though I could see out of the corner of my eye that the contact was coming. It is still quite sore, although I was able to take part in some of the training on Tuesday such as ball work and running. I have to stay out of contact at the moment but hopefully that will have changed by next week.

"In the build-up to the Ulster final I wasn't able to fully take part in training as well and it's frustrating but I want to give it time to fully heal."
