Gilligan's dilemma

Conleith Gilligan is facing the sort of dilemma most people could only dream of.

Ballinderry's qualification for the Derry SFC final on Sunday, October 5 poses a problem for the former Oak Leaf star as he is also due to manage Derrytresk in the Tyrone JFC final against Rock on the same day. Gilligan took charge of the Tyrone club earlier this year after coming in to help with training.

The veteran forward was among the scorers at Owenbeg last night as Ulster club kingpins Ballinderry defeated Coleraine by 0-16 to 0-7 to leave themselves within 60 minutes of a four-in-a-row of county titles. The Shamrocks will face the winners of the other semi-final between Dungiven and Slaughtneil, which takes place tomorrow.
