New Celtic FC manager Ronnie Deila has made a strong first impression on Jim McGuinness.

The Donegal boss works as a performance analyst at Celtic and, speaking to the Today with Sean O'Rourke programme on RTE Radio 1 earlier, he had high praise for the Norwegian.

"He (Deila) is keen on the psychological side of things," McGuinness said.

"He is very driven by high performance and balancing that with high energy. He likes to keep his players positive and fresh."

McGuinness - who guided Donegal to a third Anglo Celt Cup success in four years last Sunday - is now working with the Parkhead outfit's first-team squad under Deila.

"Most of my work was with the development squad, but now I have more of a role with the first-team."
