Martin still swinging them over in his sixties
July 23, 2014
Not a word about hanging them up.
Is this 67-year-old from Roscommon the oldest gaelic footballer in the country?
Strokestown chairman Martin Silke came on as a substitute at corner-forward in the club's 2-16 to 3-8 Division 3 league success over St Joseph's on Wednesday, July 9 last.
Age is obviously just a number as far as Martin - who got a mention in the Roscommon Herald - is concerned.
He could be in line for a start against St Croan's this Friday evening!
