Dr Hyde Park will undergo renovations next summer at the earliest, it has been confirmed.

The Roscommon County Board confirmed that the redevelopment work will commence during the summer of 2015 at the very earliest.

Since gaining full control of the grounds, the county board have been keen to press ahead with the necessary renovation works needed to get the grounds up to provincial standard.

The planning process has to be sorted before any work can start and it is believed that could roll into next year. This means that the venue should be available for Roscommon's home league games next year. Tweet
